Yeah, that's my bf, too. I was looking around for a new lippie the other day with him and I was in one of the department stores looking at Maybelline and stuff and swatching it all and he was like 'OMG, don't do that, you always said you wanted a MAC one, lets go get one, theirs is way better'. So that was a 'sweeet' moment, also because it came out of his wallet, haha. He loves it, I'm pretty responsible with money so he knows I won't spend money I don't have, or get in over my head financially.
He comes into Ballantynes here, the biggest department store with all the mid- to high-end counters, and loves helping me pick stuff out. He doesn't know the names of anything obviously, but he'll point and things and go 'that would look good with that bright ass yellow you have!' or 'that would be a good crease colour!' Hahaha. He's so cute, and usually right, too.
He's always supported me spending money on and wearing make up, and loves me with and without it. He still seems to think I'm beautiful with my acne scars and rosacea on full display. Yick. He was the one who helped me snap out of it when I wouldn't go anywhere without having make up on and would freak out about it, now I don't care too much if I have to go somewhere in a hurry with a bare face. He does love it when I do bright colours, and even if it's kind of creased and I look oily when I get home from school/work, if it's bright he'll usually say 'you look awesome today!' all enthusiastic like. He also likes it when I bust out the smokey eye, he had a lot of porn before we got together, I think that may be why hahaha.
We're living alone and he's obviously bearing the brunt of that financially as I'm at school close to full-time, but he's been amazing about it and completely supports me doing it. He's a gem.
