Ideas for a pirate themed party?

My birthday is at the end of September (kind of a long way, I know) and I'm planning on having a huge pirate themed party. I know what to have for drinks (Why is the rum gone?), but I was hoping for some ideas about decorations, and finger foods/snacks. All I can think of is a jolly roger flag and some black and white balloons. And ideas? Help! :matey:
