levels of mac certification

so after waiting a long week and a half, i had another interview @ MAC (different location) & the manager talked about different levels of certification, one of them being "runway certification".

now my question is, what are the different levels and what order do they go in?

if i get the job (which seems promising, but i dont want to get my hopes up) of course i would love to go for the "runway certification" but i am curious of the other levels. i am excited for it all and i really hope this works out!

I haven't even been told about this yet. When I go in to do paperwork if its before you get an answer I'll ask. I remember you asked this but everytime she asks me if I have questions I can't think of any

retail skills
the first is PhD, or peak hour demo. this is just eyes, lips, cheeks and an eye chart in 25 minutes

then comes application. this is a full face that goes from day to night. it must include lashes, three skincare products, three colored lip products and a face chart in 50 minutes.

after you pass these two, in this order, you can try for others. i don't believe these need to be in any specific order:

lesson - you need to teach someone how to do a specific look within 90 minutes and include a face chart.

advanced (i was told by my trainer that this is asia only

) -demonstrate any of the following: brow shaping (this is why she said asia only, cause when you get your makeup done in asia it is expected that you get your brows shaped), contouring, or camouflage of scars/tattoos.

event/media skills
fashion show - this is very hard to pass.
video/film
photoshoot
personal appearance/spokesperson

training
product specialist
retail events, ultimate makeup seminars
update/basic training
specialized workshops/trainings

In my region (northwest) it goes as follows:

Focus: which is just the lips done at basic
PhD: 30 minute everyday make up w half face chart
Communication: self explanatory
Application: Full face dramatic make up with lashes and face chart
Advanced: Full face dramatic with brow shaping, contouring, and dramatic make up following directions/slides given in 1 hour and a half

Then all the rest is the same as post above

In my region (Southeast), ours are the same, except for communication is a part of the Application certification.

Our region is the same. (Los Angeles)
I been with M.A.C 7 months and I already have Focus Demo, PHD, Communication, Application and Product Specialist already. I want to get them all but I heard they only get harder.

There are additional certifications after the counter cert (retail skills) that you've mentioned already.

Eg: Fashion Show/Public Relations, and The Body Art Certification (which I am going for on Tuesday).

I think there are also separate ones for Event/Media, Training and the Advanced Makeup Skills one is it's own one too.

To my knowledge Product Specialist isn't a certification level - its simply a title/additional duties (I am one).
