Lise Watier Holiday Collection

I just saw it at London Drugs, and it's so pretty!!! There are a few things I'm interested in, but I'd like to hear from anyone else that's tried their stuff, either from this collection or their regular lines. I can't even afford the new MAC stuff I'm planning on getting next week, so I really want to know if this stuff will be worth it.

That's the 3 things I'm thinking about getting from the collection, although they have tons more stuff, but I'm really partial to the pinks. I'm wondering how well the lipstick pencil that comes in the compact will work. It's very similar to the full sized lipstick shade, so if it's good, I could just get the palette and the sparkle dust stuff.

Honestly, I'm not that impressed with the holiday stuff from Lise Watier this year!
I love their Couleur Folle but I don't really like pinks that light. Kinda cheap-o porn star IMO

When the 2006 Winter Collection came out I rushed to the closest SDM to check it out and I was disappointed with the quality of the Martini Kit and the Cosmo quartet. However I have to say the one before it, I believe it was call Baroque(?) and also the Safari collection was quite gorgeous. I'm kinda of sorry I didn't pick up anything then

I own a couple of the LW make up brushes, which is cheaper but not inferior to MAC and also the TEINT MOUSSE MATIFIANT which I totally

I've read reviews on MUA that the shadows, loose and pressed goes on sheerer compared to MAC. In general they get very good ratings on MUA. You should definitely give their products a try I give LW a BIG  and please let me know how you find it afterwards!!

Btw have you checked out the website? They have some excellent videos on makeup application, LW products and tips. I find it very informative and very well done.

Be careful when looking at their eye shadows. In general, I haven't been terribly impressed (although their Safari pallette last summer was quite good). I find them to be very low in pigment. If you like a hint of colour, that's great, but I'd rather go lighter on the brush.

I like their glitter liners, eye and lip pencils, and lipsticks. Never buy LW lip gloss - it's horrid. The gloss tubes (similar to juicy tubes) are nice, but expensive. Their foundations make me break out. I have one blush, I like it, but it's not very long lasting. I do wear it a lot, though, so I do like it.

The colour follies (powder eyeshadows) are really nice - more like the Tony and Tina Universal Color Dust than MAC Pigments, though. Finely milled, you can build layers to increase intensity or even mix with Metamorfix (awesome, best product by LW, btw), to intensify them to the same shade they appear in the pot. Downside, small portion for the price. Also, I don't like the way the product gets up under the lid - I'm constantly brushing it back into the sifter pot.

HTH.
