MAC 116 Brush

Ok - so I've only been buying MAC for about 6 years, but just started buying brushes like maybe 3 years. I bought this on ebay and the font looks so big compared to my other brushes. Could it be possible that it's made a different time, it feels authentic - not cheap wood, the hair feels very soft, and the metal part looks in tact. It also has a stamp on the end that says JAPAN just like my other ones. BUT the logo looks like a matte gray as opposed to a shiny silver. Look please:

Personally, I don't think it's a fake, but even if it was, I wouldn't care because it works so good. But I would still like to know your opinion. Here's the eBay link:

I'd say it's genuine and old. M·A·C brushes have had different numbers in the past and the typeface on the number is identical to that on my older brushes.

I think it's real, I have a 219 brush that I bought a few years back and the font looks identical to the first pic.
