Here are a few of my personal favorites, these are the shadows that get regular use.

Ricepaper- My absolute favorite! Highlight, OMG I have to leave in 5 minutes all-over color, lid, crease
Shroom- Great versatile color
Amber Lights- Sometimes on my inner corner, wore it in my crease for my wedding
Woodwinked- Usually on my lid, my lid color for my wedding, fun for going out, sometimes on the inner corner.
Espresso- usually used in my outer v or contouring
Satin Taupe- for the brown smokey eye
Humid- green smokey eye paired with Deep Truth in outer v
Expensive Pink- IMHO, the best pink in the regular collection, good for everything
Henna- from the BBR collection but there is a dupe in the regular collection, I love to contour with this and shroom.
Sketch- good for the purple smokey eye, I like it in the outer v with stars n' rockets in the crease

And it's not mac, but it fits in the palette, Half Baked by UD. Very similar to FLip from the BBR collection, imo.

BTW, I swore I'd stop at two. I am at 5 full right now

Good Luck!

can you state which colors you already have?

I think you should organize these by colors from light to darks -- one palette for neutrals and one for warm/cold colors.

Once you get this done, then your own eyes will guide you to what you like best and if it should be depotted into the palette.

my must haves are;

1. Dazzlelight - the prefect highlighter
2. Shroom - the prefect subtle highlighter
3. Woodwinked - my go to safe netural colour - looks beautiful on just about everyone.
4.Vex - all in one eyeshadow - can make lid colour, highlighter and add some "oomph" to my eyes - a beautiful greyish-green-pink colour that works with EVERYTHING.
5. Goldmine and Gorgeous Gold - both gold-ish colours goldmine more golden that Gorgeous Gold. I like to use Goldmine to POP bold, colourful looks but it also makes an awesome netural eye too. Gorgeous gold I love to pair with lots of colors (and use in inner v, above crease, or brow)!!
6.Humid - The perfect deep green.
7. Freshwater - The perfect blue!
8. Deep Truth - the prefect dark blue - use as a lid colour or crease - looks awesome with greens, blues and purples.
9. Parfait Amour - the nicest bluish purple ever!
10. Vellum - makes an awesome highlight for purples and blues and a super cool lid colour.
11. Smut - makes the best smokey/netural eye!

There is so many more - but I'm getting super tired.

Here are some of the first that I purchased and continue to use ALL the time!

Satin Taupe- Brownish/taupe duochrome. Great for smokey eye or in crease for the office
Shroom- Great highlighter and neutral color.
Naked Lunch- Pink tinged neutral. Great for an all over lid color
Carbon- Perfect matte black
Nocturnelle- dark purple with shimmer that looks amazing with cool tones.
Humid- smokey forest green. Try it with golds or oranges!
Deep Truth- navy blue with reflects. Great for brown eyes or a fun liner.
Vex- Very unique color, tri-chrome of pink, grey, green.
Print- Perfect charcoal color! I use this for when black is too much.
Cork- Great neutral medium brown, matte finish.
Club- I second using a black base under this reddish-green duochrome.
Copperplate- Essential for smokey eyes. Matte grey with warm undertones.
Blanc Type- Matte ivory for highlighter. Dupable but has great payoff!
Electric Eel- Satiny bright blue! Very fun for a pop of color.
Star Violet- Totally underrated MAC color, plummy beauty!

There's a few to getcha started.
