MAC's Powder Puff?

has anybody here used MAC's powder puff (the $9 one with a sating band)? How is it at applying loose powders? Will I be better of using a powder brush?

I don't use mine for face powder. It just seems like it would be unnecessarily messy and I have other face powder application tools that work just fine. I use my powder puff for body shimmer products.

I just remembered I have one of these. I've been using a generic one from who-knows-where to set my foundation/concealer. I like the results I get from setting my makeup with a puff vs just a brush, so I will try this MAC one out and report back...

Okay!! I used the MAC puff to set my makeup today (used Laura Mercier Translucent loose) and wow!! Very nice. Velour versus those cheap cotton ones from the d/s are way better, I see. Took less time, less amount of product, as well. Not messy (I'm restrictive with my loose powders anyway) I'm gonna keep using this one for a while.
