Ok, so I posted up a thread a while ago about people being able to post something up when they want honest recommendations or advice about their make up and I said I would post some pictures up for advice, so here they are! Oh, and the thread is here, in case you were wondering: http://www.specktra.net/forum/f188/p...ations-146060/

Ok so ladies, here are my pictures, tell me what you think!

Here are also some links to some FOTD I have done, to give you an idea of looks I have done, and my style of make up with it comes to more dramatic looks:

P.S The first pictures that are actually posted in this thread are of me with my everyday make up. I used MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, Imju Fibrewig Mascara, Stila spot concealer in G, benefit bronzer in Hula (Hoola? I dont feel like getting up to go look lol), and MAC MSF in Brunette. I also use a brown eye pencil and gel to fix up my brows

Pretty much, I would just like to know of some other colors that would look nice on me, especially when it comes to the lips. As for the eyes, I tend to stay with purples and browns and the farthest out I go with color is darker greens or vibrant greens and blues lining my bottom lashes. I want to do more, but with my skin tone and hair color (the purplish brown, as you can see) it is hard. I also have auburn eyes which is hard to coordinate sometimes, and I can never find good pink blushes or hot pink lips. I'm not even really sure what undertones I have to determine if I am cool or warm! So ANY help would be appreciated! Ooh and one more thing, I'm not dissatisfied with my everyday look, I just want to know if there is a way I could make it look nicer, and also advice for more dramatic looks! Thanks again, sorry for rambling!

Coral, peach, and apricot would look really nice on you-eyes,cheeks,and lips.
Dollymix would be really pretty for a pink blush, and Pink Lemonade would be a great pink lipglass on you.
I also think a gold shimmer flecked dark brown eye liner would be so pretty on you.

I agree with the corals and peaches, that seems to work the best for me! I really love Dolllymix and I bought it assuming it would work well on me especially since it's sheer but it actually washes me out really bad, I think it's a little too cool toned for my skin!

I like the idea about the eyeliner, I have never really worn anything except black! Also, I've always wanted to try Pink Lemonade, hopefully it will turn out alright lol I'm dying for a nice pink lip color. I really wish I could pull off something really bright like Hollywood Nights, but unfortunately I haven't found any that I would be willing to wear in public lol.

First, how to tell your skins undertones. Turn your arm over to the light side and press in, when you remove your finger, for a moment you should see a yellow or pink undertone. That's how you tell what you're is. I'm guessing yellow is what yours are as that seems to be more common and especially true with darker skin tones.

As far as specific colors for your cheeks, I'm not good at that but would suggest going to a MAC counter and telling them what you're hoping for and letting them make suggestions. There is nothing like trying the products on.

The one thing that jumped out at me from you day look is that I think your eyes would look really pretty if you softened the liner on your eyes a bit, smugde it out, KWIM. And like the other girls suggested, try some other eyeliners. Black is very common and it looks good on most everyone, but it's also predictable. So the question is, do you want to be predictable or do you want to stand out. If you want to stand out, one great way to that is to try different eye liners. One look I love is white on the inside lower lash line and a darker color outside. Makes your eyes really pop!

You also have a beautiful mouth. I think I'd play that up by using a lip liner to define the shape of your mouth a little more.

I love your purple and pink look. That looked great on you and you did find a great bright pink lippie for that look.

Thank you so much for looking at my looks Ursula! And thank you for the advice as well. I used to wear lip liner in my confused days (the whole darker liner, lighter lip look) and after I realized that wasn't cute or correct I kind of stopped altogether. I do think white would look nice, as I have been gradually toning down my eyeliner over the past couple of years and realized that with the right mascara, I don't always need so much eyeliner. Thank you for the tips, I think I will try to invest more in lipliner and new eyeliners.

NARS blush in Sin would look fabulous on you as well.

I think a deep forest green/dark teal color eyeliner would look beautiful on you.

Sometimes I like to experiment with different textures to mixed it up....like a shimmering crease with matte highlighter....or dark lip in a stain/sheer gloss with golden washed eyes. You pull anything off really...look at fashion mags for inspiration!

Has anyone tried MAC Flirt and Tease, Breezy, or Ambering Rose? From the website they look like colors that would suit me well, what do you ladies think?
