I couldn't decide whether I got them cuz of some fine shimmer in them.
But my MUA said shimmer's almost invisible on the face and he said "Trust me.". lol
(He's always honest to me, so I can trust him whenever I need to buy sth at the counter.)
So I finally got them! Anyway, I really love the texture which is silky and really light!

Mine gets here today. I ordered the pressed version, but considering Sephora's shipping issues, who knows which one I'll get. I didn't wear my Forever Marilyn BP today for the first time since October, and I can tell a major difference without it. I hope that this NARS powder has the same photoshop effect as the MAC powder!

I am extremely excited by light reflecting powders.I used to use a wonderful Matt oil free foundation by Chanel, with light reflecting particals.Unfortunately it was discontinued.I am looking forward to trying the loose powder.I would like to thank all who posted lipstick advice. I am @present using Midnight blue on inner rims.I suggest all those with grey eyes do so.Also I will add that I have v.large eye's.I hope this is useful for other's.B.W.Miss O

That FM BP (never want to be without it) is the only other powder (except for Elude) that I LOVE as much as this Nars Powder. I need to try the BP first, & then the NARS one over it. Curious to see how that looks.

I went ahead and broke open the pressed yesterday. The email does say they are replacing it at no cost to me and all you gals said you got yours gratis so I am going to ignore the return it request of phone person. After all how many zillionty times has the CS person been behind specktra on what is going on?

Anyway I only used it on one side under my eyes and side of nose, cheeks and the difference in wrinkles was remarkable.... much more shallow and less noticeable. There is a faint shimmer to it as well... I think I saw a speck or two of microglitter but then I was kinda packing it on. With the sponge applicator.

I love it

Ooh I may try that tomorrow! I hope I like this NARS powder just as much, as after I finish up my backup of the Marilyn powder, I'll be all out.

BEWARE: EXTREME ENABLING

Gotta type this fast before I got to go visit my dad at the hospital. He just had surgery, but he's doing good :)

I got my Nars Powder today! And let me start off by saying, Elegant wasn't lying!

For reference, I'm NC50 (technically, NC45-50 as both are too light/dark for me. The delivery guy comes super early everyday, so I got my powder by 10:45ish (I was working from home today so I was pretty excited!). I put on very light layer of my studio fix fluid foundation that I am trying to use up and the powder on one side. Immediately I noticed a difference! My face looked so smooth on the side that had the powder on. It really did disappear into my skin.

I forgot about the powder and went about my work until I looked into the mirror later on in the day. I noticed that half my face looked brighter than the other and remembered that I put the powder on (I had put it underneath my eyes also and it immediately lifted up my face). I am a complete skincare junkie and am obsessed with keeping my skin clear and smooth. Saying this, the Nars powder is one of the best products for the face I have tried! I looked at my face in about three different mirrors to make sure that I was seeing correctly. Then I took a picture of it and my face came out smooth on the camera and more 'blurred'

I used a magnifying mirror and I can't tell that it has sparkles, but I'll take everyone's word for it.

Long story short, YOU NEED THIS. By the way, I got the loose powder, but will be getting the press shortly.

I planned on going to Walgreens to grab cleansing wipes and that's it

But of course I had to browse the makeup section

I picked up Rimmel's Scandaleyes eyeliner in Nude for the waterline and I love it! Finally, a drugstore version of nude eyeliners for the waterline. It's creamy and immediately stopped looking like the Grim Reaper when I put it on.

The last thing I got was a lip primer. Sally Hansen came out with a line of awesome lip care products. They have an invisible lipliner, a lip smoother/plumper and a lip primer that is supposed to make your lipstick last twice as long. I only grabbed the lip primer. It's definitely a P&P dupe! If you are not a big fan of Mac P&P prices, I recommend you try those. I made sure my lips were pretty chapped when I put it on to see how well it worked and after I put the primer on, then a matte lipstick (Rimmel Kate Moss line), I saw silky smooth lips. It's supposed to be a slight plumper and smoother as well.
I hope I didn't empty your wallets clutches.....

I really need to stop reading these... My fingers are itching to go to the Nordstrom website and order this powder!

By the way, thanks for the heads up about the nude Scandaleyes! I've seen people from England hauling it on YouTube for ages and was hoping we'd get it here. Looks like I'll need to start stalking the drugstore.

Alright. I went and swatched this powder again. I made sure my hand was clean and shimmer free. Still, I could see the shimmer from the powder on my hand and as little as I used and as much as I blended it in, it still gave a white cast on my skin. However, I bought it anyway. I'll never really know if it works until I try it out. So, I'll give it a spin tomorrow and hopefully it works because I do not want to return anything right now.

Finally picked up my NARS light reflecting power thanks to the ultimate enabler elegant one... lol.. I picked up the pressed version just for the no mess factor/convenience and because I'm a fan of FM BP.. I have huge pores on my chin so I have troubles keeping makeup on and things looking smooth all day on my chin area. So far, so good (couple hours in) but we'll see how long things stay smooth looking! I already want to try the loose.

Maybe it will end up being a little less white on your face as it mixes with the natural oils of your skin. Hopefully it works. People/companies like to tell WOC that translucent means the product won't show up on anyone including us, but they clearly have little experience with ashy skin. Excited to hear how it works for you.
