I am so clueless when it comes to mu brushes...esp. eye ones. MAC has about a million brushes that all sound like they do the same things!

I have all of this gorgeous MU, but I don't have anything good to put it on with! I'm definitely getting the 266 for lining...but what else do I need? Any specific recs? (sorry I'm so clueless at this!)

I would rec brush 213 just for general e/s application. I sure you'll get a lot of recs for this one. I don't have many brushes either, but that one is a really good basic brush. I also have brush 217 for blending.

These are the brushes I cannot work without-

Face:
187- Great for sheer, even application of liquid, cream, and powder products.
182- Excellent for blending

Eyes:
213- I use this to pack shadow on lids
217- BEST blending brush EVER
224- Good for crease work, but inferior to the 217 in terms of blending. I also use this to apply loose powder on top of concealer under the eyes
219- Essential for sexy, dramatic smoky eyes. Also great for blending shadow into the bottom lashline
209- The only brush I really use for eyeliner. It's rare that I use the 266 or 263. The 209 is the easiest to use of the three, and is versatile in that it can create a super thin line as well as thicker, more dramatic ones.
208- I use this to fill in brows. Perfect size and stiffness.
275- Super fluffy; excellent for blending and applying highlights to the browbone.
242- I almost forgot about this one. I use it to apply my cream colour base.

For applying color to the lid and/or brown bone I like the 213 & 239 brushes.
For the crease & outter V I like the 222 & 219 brushes.
For blending the 217 is great.
For lining with Fluidlines I like the 209 & 208 brushes.
And finally for filling in brows or lining with e/s I like the 266 brush.

I love the 239 for applying color to the lid, the 219 for detailed work and liner (smudging), and either the 217 or 224 for blending. 208 for fluidlines, and sometimes for brows.
