need some help please

I am new to this forum and am after some mac eyeshadows (about 6)

please could I have some recommendations

for reference

eyes black
hair dark brown

I have a few neutral bb and lm

I am thinking of maybe blues, greens and purples/lavender(whenver I have tried them they look like a bruised eye). I have tried going to my local mac store but am a little overwhelmed by the choice of colours. I am going to a wedding in december and wearing a number of saris so am looking for some bold looks.

im NC20/25 and i have black eyes and dark hair too.. greens and purples look great with our eye color! heres a list of my favorites, i tried to narrow it down to two eyeshadows in each color:

Greens
- Humid
- Juxt

Teals
- Newly Minted
- Steamy

Blues
- Deep Truth
- Freshwater

Purples
- Hepcat
- Sketch

I went to my local mac counter with all the clothes i am wearing so far bought eye shadows

sketch
rubenesque
sumptious olive
deep truth

and fluidlines
dress khaki
aqualine

I think the lady thought I was crazy coming with all my clothes!!
