Need some inspiration

I'm going to my boyfriends best friends birthday party tomorrow, and I need a look. I don't wanna go in there with a face full of bright make-up, but I don't wanna do my same boring neutral look either.
Any suggestions for something in the middle?

Also, it's a pirate themed party. Neither my boyfriend or myself is going dressed up, but maybe that could be some added inspiration for suggestions.
