Neutral shadows / looks

I've acquired two new 4 slot palettes. I'd love to fill 'em up with neutral shades, does anyone have any ideas on which colors I should use? I've neglected neutrals for too long, and pretty soon, they'll be my only option for daily wear (because of a few reasons). I don't have many shades at the moment, but I wouldn't mind picking up a couple. 2-4 shades to 'spice up' the neutrals would be great as well. Thanks in advance!

Oh, also: if you know the military regs and can show me some pretty yet still appropriate looks, that'd be wonderful.
