Opinions on mirrors?

Hey everyone. I was looking for peoples opinions on mirrors. I'm looking for a new one since the ones that come in compacts aren't really cutting it lol. There are a couple I'm looking at on Ebay:

Pedastal Light-Up Mirror by Avon Skincare Specialist - (eBay.ca item 270391601021 end time 22-May-09 23:18:37 EDT)

Revlon Round Chrome Lighted Mirror - (eBay.ca item 350201804638 end time 20-May-09 21:13:27 EDT)

Which one would you think is better? Or are there better alternatives? I'm hoping not to pay more than $30ish. What are some of the things to look for in a good make up mirror? Any opinions or help would be appreciated.

Replacable bulbs is definitely a bonus, otherwise if the bulb blows it's done.

Also check reviews where possible to see how bright the mirror is... if it's too dim then there's not much point to having an illuminated mirror.

I've got this one:

BEAUTIFUL JERDON TRI-FOLD MAGNIFICATION MAKEUP MIRROR - (eBay.ca item 220416634089 end time 24-May-09 15:03:33 EDT)

It's great. There are different light shades (although I usually leave it on the brightest) and the center mirror flips over from regular to 5x magnification. Being able to look down on the mirror at a slant is really helpful. Plus, I really like that there are bulbs on each side and not all the way around the mirror because I find it easier to get my eyeliner right if I cover up the lights on the side with the open eye. (does that make sense?)

That does look like a nice one. The only thing with the nice big mirrors is the murder in shipping costs lol. Maybe I could check out my local Walmart?

I'm having the same issue currently.

I currently have a round Conair mirror.
Bed Bath & Beyond - Conair Illuminated Polished Chrome 5X/1X Magnification Mirror
I got it about 2 xmas's ago. I loved it but now I've noticed if I sit away from the mirror (to look at my overall face) the lighting is bad (considering the light is only coming from the round mirror). I wish I can sit infront of a window while using the mirror, but that's not possible.

I'm thinking the tri-fold mirror might be better (even though it looks like it's from the 1980's; white plastic v.s. chrome).

The Jerdon 5X Tri-fold mirror got amazing reviews on Amazon, and I just ordered it for $34 + free shipping. It looks kind of bulky/70's/plastic-y, but it has a whole slew of features that the oval or wall-mount mirrors just don't have. Everyone who reviewed it seems to really adore the light quality, too.
