My skin is TOTALLY the same. Although I've been using a new skincare brand and it's much better. I use Studio Fix Fluid and Fix + as my base and although it's does kinda settle over the dry areas it's not too visible, there is room for improvement. I've always thought about a primer but have never foud one for my skin type either. I might give prep n prime a go, in the past i've wasted so much money buying things that just don't work!

I live at high altitude and can totally understand dry skin. When my skin is really parched I use Wella Skin Food at night but I wouldn't recommend it for use under makeup. I've had really good luck with Chanel skincare and usually mix my morning moisturizer with a glob of their cream formula Vitalumiere foundation if I'm still having trouble with flakes. Otherwise Studiofix and Fix+ to buff has great staying power IME.
