"Programs" to organize collection

I remember seeing somwhere that there are programs/templates that can be used to organize your collection. Anyone familiar with this?

What do you mean, for taking inventory or for labels? I use Excel for inventory...it likes to remind me that I spend way too much on makeup!

As far as I remember there is already a thread out there that lists what people use to organise their stuff. I personally (mis)use a program that was planned for books (called Books

).
