Tips on getting the scaley look/using fishnets

I have tried using fishnet stockings to get that 'scaley' type look but was hoping I could get some tips on how to better go about it as they aren't currently turning out that well.

Also, any pictures of people that have this type makeup on would be much appreciated!

i just cut some material from a top that was fishnet/netting type stuff. make sure the holes are kind of big, you dont want to use the fishnets that have tiny holes. then i just use black eyeshadow and I also use a dark shadow a shade lighter than black on the edges where it fades out

I just hold it there. it really only takes 5 seconds. and a use a blush brush
