Which Brushes are absolute must-haves?

Hi all, I took a break from makeup in general for awhile. Now I'm back and needing to rebuild my brush collection/add to it a bit

I have a very old 224, 168, 217, and 252.

Which other eye and face brushes are necessities?? Probably going to build 1/2 brushes at a time

My favorite go-tos are:

187 - for a lighter application
109 - for a darker application
182 - Kabuki

My must haves are :

188 brush--4 foundation and MSF (I like it much better than 187)

217 brush--Applies e/s and use in crease + paintpot app.

i would say that for eyes i used the 239 and 222 and 217 the most. they are all fabulous brushes. and for the face i tend to always use a 129 and 109 brush.

I only use MAC eye brushes. For the face, I prefer Chanel brushes. My must have are 213, 219, 222, 242, and 239 (if you use pigments a lot).

love my 180 kabuki brush and 187se brush (never tried the full size but love the 187se for my blushes)

Face: 187, 129, 168

These are the brushes I use the most.

eyes&brows: 217 is a must! 239, 219, 224, 266 are also very helpful, but 217 is irreplaceable when it comes to blending

face: i think it's very individual, but i know i couldn't live without my 190 foundation brush.

You've got some great ones! I would add a 109, it's wonderful! Foundation, contour, blush, highlight love the 109.

This is suchhhh a hard question. lol. My everyday brushes are 239, 217, 224 for eyes. and for face: 187, 129, 150. they are definitely worth the investment!

187 and 190 are my absolute MUST HAVES!! I use my 187 for MSFs, blushes, cream blushes, sometimes bronzer when I only want a light dusting, etc. And 190 gives that perfect foundation application!

I would say 217, 239, and an angle brush! I am still working out what I like for the face but so far I like the 168.

For the face, I love the 138 and the 116. I use these every single day, no matter what I'm doing. The 217, 219, and 239 are simply essential eye brushes.

For my eyes: 224, 242

For my face: 187, 190, 129 and 227 (even though it's an eye brush, I use it for concealer.

I agree with the 190. For foundation it's my fav.
