Oh ok. I thought you had seen several swatches as you had such a strong opinion about Elude.

IMO, it is nearly impossible to swatch b/p - in particular those nude shades - and/or MSF as the effect will only be visible if applied correctly, i.e. buffed out. A thick layer of a product will not tell you if a product works for you or not unless you go for a cakey-face-look, which I am certain you don't wan lol.

I'm NW20 as well (probably more NW 15-18 right now) and Elude gives me a great finish, i.e. semi-matte with a sheen that lets my skin look healthy and glowy in a very natural way. I use the BB + F&B as foundation for a dewy look and Elude complements this combination in a very sophisticated manner. Elude is one of those subtle-is-more products and I wish the formula and shade would be perm as it is an ideal winter shade for me. I got three of them so far - I might go for more depending how quickly I go through the first one. I hope you get a chance to swatch it for yourself.

PS: Once my performances are over, I'll try to sort out my camera to post some swatches of GP (and some other goodies of which I have samples).

Your exactly the same skin tone as me, I use NW20 but atm im a little lighter coming into summer. I really like the description of this product from you (and you know you are good at convincing me on products!) I wish I could swatch this or even see it for myself but this collection is not coming to either of my MAC stores. This is the one time I am relying heavily on swatches online to decide on products from this collection. Its so up my alley with the packaging and edgy colouring of restrict and vacant. Elude caught my eye early on but have been unsure until I could see swatches. I cant wait to see a swatch from you Mac Guy when you get a chance.

Im getting the buffer from this collection because I dont have one of my own and I know this is the one brush from my collection that I am missing. Once I can buff... my face will be BUFFED OUT!!

Dude you need a blog for us NW20 pale ones!

Definitely get a buffer - my foundation looks so awesome since I've started using the 179 from Semi Precious :)

The 179 is an amazing brush - the angle on it is perfect and takes all the precision and guesswork out of perfect (and even on both sides) contouring for me. It really should be made perm so everyone can give it a try.

I like the look of the Real Techniques Kabuki brush. I love that it converts for contouring http://www.love-makeup.co.uk/real-techniques-kabuki-brush-p-1840.html

Has anyone tried this brush? What do you think of it?

Is there any differences between the GP 182 and the one in the regular line except the packaging? I hope the price hike isn't too much here so I can get the GP one!

The brush in this collection has the smallest mark up of all the items as the regular 182 is already $ 49.50 and the GP one is $ 60. Now, it is still a lot of money, but I would not call the price unrealistic or fair. It's just what you have to pay for a good kabuki.

I would like to know this too. Usually the couture brushes are very noticeably softer than the regular versions.

received my order today...!

i usually skip the 'couture' collections due to the price, but i'm so happy with my gp products...
the lipglass packaging is nothing special (reminds me of the colour craft glosses), but the colours are beautiful...

i'm glad they joined the couture collection with the fashion collab...

Mac really need to step it up a lil.... In the last 2 yrs I've practically bought everything from all collex but this and g&i have really let me down and after trying nars blush and multiples wow so so much easier to blend than Mac!!!!
This is just my opinion so pls no one bite my head off

I am kind of thinking this way too. Not sure if I am just burned out or I have hoarded so much I really don't see too many unique colors and such. The product is generally good, esp. MSF, e/s and piggies and some of the l/s are pretty unique. In general the products are improving but they could do more with the foundations and blush.

ugh... i love kabuki brushes as much as i love pigments! lol! it's an expensive obsession! :p

it looks like there is a nice kabuki brush collection on the nars website...but don't ask me what it costs, because i was too scared to look! :)
