MAC Hey, Sailor! (Summer 2012) Discussion

Okay, I got two hauls yesterday so I can share a few thoughts now.

Red Racer: Love! It's very bright on me but completely gorgeous. I can also tone it down if I put a tendertone under it. I think I have more neutral skin than cool skin, and it looks lovely on me. I can't wait to try it with Send Me Sailing tomorrow. I would consider it to be more wearable than a lot of my reds.

Sail La Vie: I love this one too! It's gorgeous, and while obviously orange-red on me instead of red-orange, it suits me and brightens my whole face. I think everyone should at least try this one to see how they like it.

Crew: A gorgeous peachy highlight/blush on my fair skin. It shows up more peach than pink on me right now, but makes my skin look amazing and will be a great subtle blush. If I go very lightly I can use it as just a highlight with a darker blush.

Launch Away: I think this is definitely a sleeper, as it's lovely. It shows up the way I wanted Immortal Flower to look and it looks very natural on me. I'm very glad I picked this up, though I'm not sure how unique it is.

Au Rose: It's fine. I prefer tendertones, but I like this for when I want to go walking or I'll be in the sun for a while. The pink does show up a bit on my lips, but it's mainly gold glitter.

I haven't tried Feeling Fresh yet, but I will very soon! I also get Fast Fleet, Riviera Life, and Send Me Sailing this week.

It does really brighten up the face

if anyone needs CP's on anything I can help as always I'm skipping this collection due to some unforeseen vet bills so I am living vicariously through all of u. haven't kept up what's the sell outs are but I have Nordstrom, Macy's, and a bunch of stores near me (don't know if that's good or bad lol)

I LOVE the bronzer! I might get nude on board i love the texture of it! pure velvet!

I LOVE the blush it's perfect for a "i dont wanna blend or think about what looks good with the rest of my make up" blush. effortlessly flattering

Here's Red Racer with Redd lipliner in the first picture and for comparisons the second is Red Racer with Cherry.

I hope you can see that Redd gives it more of an orange tint. I love this lippie!

Wearing Fleet Fast today and I love it! I wish I could say the same about the Suntints :/ I put on Sea mist today and it was a bit too sticky for me.

I just finished my haul from macys! I got all lipsticks and eyeshadows, all lg except the white one, sun dipped bronzer, crew, and fleet fast. Ahhhhhh now I am on a no buy until Ruffian/Marilyn

My wonderful boyfriend just came home and ordered Fleet Fast for me! We compared swatches to Tarte's Glisten blush (which Temptalia listed as a possible dupe and I already own) and he told me that they looked different to him, so he got it for me as a "just because" present Now my haul needs to be over!

That's so sweet of him! He's definitely a keeper!

Pinkdollface - glad you tried RR with Redd, it goes so well with RR. I did not get the red liner from this collection, it seemed lighter than RR. Would be nice to see if someone can post it with RR.
