Pure Zen looks really pretty. It reminds me a tiny bit of Flamingo. Not 100% sure I will get it. I prefer brighter, bolder and more unique colors. Never say never though. Tx Rezel.

I was really excited about these until I saw swatches. I'm still getting some of them, but most of them seem like they would look too similar on me. They're all more pale and sheer than I was expecting, especially the CSGs. I was hoping that some of them would've been more saturated in color like Star Quality,Galaxy Rose and Narcissus.

They look very similar indeed, though if you use lip erase before applying the CSG's, you can probably see more difference (though still subtle).

I love the look of these. I agree that PZ looks like Flamingo. I may end up getting all of these over time!

Just run it through Google Translate. Here's the rough translation of the line above:

Does Prep + Prime Lip really work? I've seen it mentioned a few times, but never bothered to try it. My thinking is what does it do that a nice lip balm can't? I'm also finding that I'm not really wearing lipgloss on its own anymore. When I started wearing makeup, I wanted to work my way up to wearing lipstick. I began by wearing CSGs alone, then lipglass alone (I find this formula really sticky since I wore CSGs first!), then transitioned to lipstick. Now I just wear lipgloss over my lipstick to get the glossy effect or to add extra oomph to my lipstick.

I'm not talking about the P&P Lip, I meant the Lip Erase, which neutralizes your natural lip color to turn up a true color of lip products that are applied. Basically, it turns your lips into a canvas. It comes in two colors, Pale (N27) and Dim (N37). Depending on what lip color you want to use, the one or the other might be better. N27 will really make lipstick or gloss pop, whereas N37 is a bit more subtle (even on paler beauties).

Oh, I see. I thought they were the same thing! I would probably go for N27. Is it a MAC item? I searched for it on the website and can't find it?

I think it is pro but it was out with another collection last year at counters. It makes wearing nudes easier for me but I do find it to be very drying on my lips. I got the Dim and I am NW15 and it works for my pigmented lips.

It's a Pro item, but well worth the trouble ordering it over the phone. If you tend to wear more pale lippies, I would go with N27; if you like darker colors, I'd go with N37. I have both and I can't really tell which one I prefer more. I use both on a regular basis. You only need a tiny amount, thus a jar will last a long time (especially if you use a spatula to take out product). Love this product!

On its own, it can by drying, but as it is a matte formula, it doesn't come as a surprise.

I use a TLC underneath and let it sink in before I apply the LE, followed by whatever lippie or gloss that I want to make stand out. The TLC really helps to prevent dryness.

I tested them all yesterday in my local MAC, in that vaunted "back room". Sorry, no photos. I'll probably get a smart phone this fall, and then, at last, i can post swatch pics.

Most of the colors, of both the lipsticks and glosses, are quite wearable by a range of skin tones, although a few of the lip glosses are rather "milky". They are all "nice", work-safe colors. I didn't think any were of earth-shattering unusualness, but they make a good practical grouping if you like relatively light, unchallenging colors.

Depending on what i think about the collections coming out this fall (most so far are getting a shrug from me, although my SA said the holiday stuff was amazing but she couldn't talk about it), i may pick up a couple. My box of pinky-peach and coral lip products is rather empty, while my box of violets, purples, and plums is about to burst.

All those lipsticks are right up my ally. And perm...even better. Sunny Seoul kinda reminds me if Venus for some reason.

I thought Europe will get this collection in September, but I just read the the release date for the Netherlands is August 4th, so I'm guessing it's August for Germany, too.
I definitely have a couple of the lipsticks on my list, but they will have to wait. Won't be able to buy anything else until after the Marylin collection, I think.

Are these going to be on the website? My store is out of the way for me and I usually order online instead. It'd be nice to pick up a l/g with my By Request order.

Prep + Prime Lip is not like a lip balm at all. Lip balms have a lot of slip and actually make your lipstick slip off, last less longer and apply less pigmented due to the slip. I bought Prep + Prime Lip to try just for the hell of it and it has become a staple. I never wear lipstick without it. You apply it to the lips and wait a few seconds for it to dry to a tacky texture and then apply your lipstick. It is especially great for mattes and lipsticks that can be drying. :)
