My order arrived today (together with the 'express' order I placed on Friday). Go figure.

I like Shell Pearl but it's almost MSF like on me - no sparkle per se but definitely sheeny. I'm glad I didn't get Porcelain Pink; I now have a highlighter that pulls faintly pink on me and I wouldn't need a second. Some say they don't see SP - it definitely shows on me (I'm a bit lighter than NC 25 right now). I'm also glad I didn't get a backup - I like this but I'll use it sparingly as I do most highlighters.

I just swatched Aztec Brick lightly on the back of my hand. It's mine - not being gifted. I like it a lot.

I LOVE Altered State! Love doing a smokey eye with it in the crease or all over color. The color payoff is great and this purple color really stands out! Slight iridescence of pink glitter but very microscopic. It gives it a sheen. Plus, it has great blendability! As for Aztec Brick, in all honesty I hardly reach for it. It's a rusty red/orange or shimmery copper color with gold sheen. I remember it being a Veluxe Pearl finish. It's not really my kind of color. It's very similar to Amber Lights EXCEPT that it has a red tinge to it or a tad more bronze perhaps? It blends well though bc of the finish. They are both worth buying though but it depends on what colors you prefer! Hope this helps! =)

I was inquiring about the same thing. I'm an nw47 and just ordered shell pearl! I hope it will look okay and not ashy!

I'll swatch tomorrow in natural light, but I'm not sure how much it will show up. It's pretty sheer.

I tried to swatch on my arm, but it doesn't show up at all - just melts into the skin. My inner arm is pretty light too. On my (now washed) face, it just gives a really pretty sheen. Erine could offer much better advice, but I'm not sure that this would look ashy because it's pretty sheer. It may not show up as much as you'd like though.

It's a relaunch, so you may be able to find swatches on WOC from the Liberty of London release.

Smh at the comments on T's post of this collection's packaging. The commentators on there are seriously negative people who never see anything good in MAC and like to bash on it. Why do you even bother looking at the post of a MAC collection if you don't like the quality of their makeup? They're complaining about it lacking quality because MAC releases too many collections at the same time, ummm do they not realize a lot of these products are permanent or repromoted? Either you like the product or you don't!

I'm new to the formum and I do have a question. I'm from The Netherlands and i've been stalking the Dutch mac site like crazy but unfortunately I was to late to order shell pearl. I do not have family living in America. And I don't like to order from Ebay. Just called Selfridges and they told me I have to pay 60 pounds extra If I would order by phone. I find that a bit much. Do maybe one of you know another possibility? Please Help ....

Ask for a CP? (Custom Purchase) from the UK or States. Someone buys for you and mails it, you pay the purchase price + shipping. I will do for you if it doesn't sell out here and you are willing to wait for me to ship it--I'm slow but there could be someone faster who will do it. PM me if you want me to do it...

Today I had to try out my new goodies.

I'm wearing Shell Pearl (applied with 187 because I don't like strong sheen on me) with Launch Away blush - it's a really pretty combination. As for my eyes, I'm wearing A Natural Flirt on the inner 1/3 of my lid, Aztec Brick on the outer 2/3, slightly into the crease and lower lashline, Swiss Chocolate in the crease and Dipdown f/l on the upper lash line. I really like both the colour and finish of AB and I had nothing else similar in my collection. I lightly lined my lips with Chicory liner and pulled out Tour de Fabulous' Rich Bounty l/g (that I don't think I've worn in nearly a year).
