I just did a MAC Chat (on the UK website) and the MAC artist said that Parrot in this collection will still be a Frost.  Oh, and she also said that this collection will be launching online tomorrow.  Yay!
YES! Thanks. At least I know when to stalk the site now (and I'm off Uni and work) :)

I see where you are coming from. I wouldn't want a shadow work me that hard to get it to show up. I do think I'm leaning more towards Hajari Karim..i think it would look really pretty with brown eyes
The green is really excellent, but it's an almost exact dupe of Sassy Grass, if you have that one. The new one's formula is better than Sassy Grass, but SG was already really good. It'll look great on you, and it's not a color that comes around year after year.

Farasha was my favorite next to Parrot - that is one superior orange shadow. If you love Paparazz-she Mega Metal but wanted something matte, it's perfect (or totally unnecessary if Paparazz-she is good enough for you, because it's a very close color dupe). You'll be able to use it under the eyes or in the crease for depth and warmth, or over a light colored base on lids for a strong pop.

Just keep in mind: she must have gone through plenty to get it to swatch like that. I found that it was the driest out of all the shadows in the collection. It'll need a base underneath to get it to show up at its most vibrant, unlike the others, that were fine straight from the pan.

One thing, it DOES have a lovely sheen that's almost duochrome, like a pale turquoise sheen on top of the purple/blue base color, so there's that. It didn't knock my socks off, and I'm usually pretty charitable about textures if I love the color, and vice versa.
I'll pass then. Thanks for your input.

Would Parrot eyeshadow work for green eyes? I keep thinking it would look amazing on brown eyed beauties.
I have green eyes and don't like all turquoises or blues on me, because a lot of them detract from my eye color. Parrot works for me, though - it's warm enough and bright enough to enhance, rather than compete. I'm still trying to decide if I want to get it, since I have Fashion Circuit and Surf USA. I probably will, because of the pale green sheen on it, which is really nice, plus it's super long lasting and fade-resistant.

If you can see it in person, it's worth checking out. It only seemed like the least of this batch of shadows to me because all of them are very high quality to begin with, not because it's bad.

If you have Dandizette Mega Metal, it's quite close, but with clear sheen, rather than the pale turquoise duochrome-ish sheen this one has. I'm sticking with my mega metal, since I've got plenty of it. I think eventually MAC will do some more duochrome shadows and I can wait for that.

Thanks, liba! I do have Dandizette (as well as Deep Truth), so I probably don't need Banafsaji. I know they're not exactly the same, but they're probably close enough for me.

@ Liba, your response sold parrot to me! :) thank you for your input. The "enhance vs. compete" aspect of it was really bothering me. I was afraid it would serve as a distraction from my eye colour Rather than compliment it. I'm excited to give it a try. & @ Erine, that is very true! The noob in me still has. Hard time working with these type of colors . It would pair well with golds and maybe even Grays or no?

You're welcome. :) It was a definite yes for me as a Frost and a definite no as a Matte, and I really didn't want to order something and have to return it. I'm off uni tomorrow too, so I guess I'll be spending most of the day hitting refresh on the website!

In some cases with the drinks, I think it's a matter of the natural sugars found in things (like fruit). So there might be lots of sugar in something, but not because the company added sugar...it's because many fruits naturally have sugar in them. The ones that come to mind are apples, oranges, and grapes, but I'm guessing there's at least some sugar in most fruits. Granted, most people don't think of fruit as having sugar, so if they see a "no sugar added" label, they'll automatically think that means no sugar at all!
yes the natural sugar in fruits are good for you it's actual sugar you have to be careful with and the artificial sugars are no good for you.

I was also quite hesitant to attempt to make a look with Hajar Karim but it ended up quite nicely, looks very nice on the eye aswell!

Heroine + Hajar Karim + Deep Dark Brunette. Love this combo! And I dont know why Temptalia didnt like Heroine, I quite enjoyed working with it..
I NEED Hajar Karim....I also partly feel like I have an obligation to buy them because I understand what they mean LOL

I sure hope it isn't a matte. People have been waiting for a repromote of Parrot for quite some time now and a different finish would just kill some people's vibe.
i agree! i hope it is a typo! i just went back to check and see if it was fixed and it still says that. i will call MAC n see what's the deal. i ordered one and should be here tomorrow so we will see as well

I got my shipping notice today for lil ol' Parrot. It usually takes about 1 week to get to me in Cali. Now the long wait.
