OMG! OMG! OMG! i was just freaking out! A bit over an hour ago i noticed i had a text msg on my phone... it was from MAC... it was about Temperature Rising... and in my experience, MAC never sends msgs out early. So i immediately phoned my local MAC and asked if the collection was out today. Yes, they said, to compete with Nordstrom.

OMG! OMG! OMG! I nearly passed out! What if the stuff i wanted was already gone! But the SA assured me they'd had little traffic on the collection, so i jumped in my car and raced down there (not breaking any speed limits, though). And stood panting at the register.

(OK, OK, there's a little hyperbole in this story)

Turned out they had EVERYTHING in stock. So i got what was on my list. Whew! I nearly fainted when i heard the total $$, but i'm not planning to buy much from collections in June or July (2 or 3 from AAO, 1 or 2 from TT), so i think my bank account will recover.

I'll try things on tomorrow. I swatched everything on my arm last week, but how they look on my lips and eyes and cheeks may be a different story.

Yay Lilinah! You even had my heart pounding for a minute. So glad you got everything that you wanted. I called my local MAC store yesterday morning and they too confirmed early release. I had preordered the lion-share of what I wanted, but the individual was off yesterday. No worries though---she usually puts my preorder in her office. My goods will ship out today!

I went to my local Macy's counter(since I knew they would have everything since they released it today) and got BMS quad, FMP and RFL. There were only 2 RFL after I got mine but they had plenty of BMS quads so thats good. This is my first MAC quad and even though it was hard handing over my card I'm glad I did. To my surprise the SA had on the Temperature Rising quad and hadn't even touched/played with the BMS quad.

Went to my Mac store this morning. Surprisingly enough I was the only one there! I got RFL blush. That's it. My Mac MUA said if I already have daddy's little girl and heroine than no need for FMP. Saves me $! She did apply the strobe liquid and sun dipped on for me but I wasn't a fan. I guess I did very well for this collection I did get an eye kohl and cherry lip liner for my riri woo!

My friend stopped by a MAC counter today and said they had the collection out to see, but not available to buy until tomorrow. Doesn't matter to me since I already have my stuff from ordering online, but it's weird that some are releasing it earlier than others. They do so love to keep us on our toes...

So, so true ChosenOne. Maybe locations w/neighboring Nordstroms released early, if competing w/them was the reason for the early release. Then again, Nordie's unconditional free shipping probably factored into it as well.

Who knows? Just when you think you have it all figured out they do something to the contrary. Glad you got everything that you wanted.

i went to my local MAC counter at 10 AM this morning and it was only one other lady looking at the collection. I walked away with BMS quad, RFL blush, rhythm lipglass, and FMP lipstick. I am fence about FMP and Rhythm maybe because I have the most recent purple lipsticks that MAC has released. What do you guys think about those two lippies.

I finally get most of my stuff tomorrow, I ordered the mascara from the art of the eye collection which arrives today, TR tomorrow, the the strobe thing on friday and my underdressed lipglass from Nordstrom's next week...the poor ups man must hate me

I have SOOO many e/s I just can't justify buying BMS quad, even though it does look gorgeous. I think I would have gotten TR quad if it didn't have beauty marked in it. I hate that color, and am currently selling the one I do own.

I also wanted both polishes, but with 1,000 bottles and counting (yes I'm a true nail polish heaux/ fanatic/junkie 1,000 bottles...2 full IKEA helmers and a few plastic shoe boxes full lol) I had to pass...for now. damn it feels good to be among my fellow junkees.

How do you ladies keep all of those polishes from getting runny?

How do you ladies keep all of those polishes from getting runny?

...most of my polishes aren't runny. If they get too thick (or come to me that way), I actually add polish thinner to them. I keep several bottles of that stuff around.

Now if you mean how to keep them from separating (where the pigment/glitter seperates and settles to the bottom), that for some polishes is normal and happens if you dont use the color after awhile. Some of my polishes are 10 years old and seperate all the time, some don't.

received my goodies today! I ended up with;

HN & RFL blushes - RFL gets all the love here I've noticed & while it is gorgeous, BOTH the blushes in this collection are seriously worth it. HN is just as amazing for all skintones & SO pigmented. This means NO AAO blushes for me, but I'm fine with that

Soft Serenade lipglass - Really I just wanted one bc of the gorgeous sparkles, this colour is an easy one to pair over all my neutrals while adding dimension. Underdressed is gorgeous & if you don't want to layer & want more complexity I'd go with that one

Golden Elixir - didn't think I'd get this, but was sold on it by the MA, such a stunning glow just like in the ad campaign. Smell didn't bother me at all. I think it's a must esp for women w/ olive/tan& darker skin as the original strobe liquid kind of can have a UV ashy effect on us.

I had BMS quad in my hand & ultimately passed bc I have way too many shadows & am sure I have close enough dupes, but the quality is gorgeous & i LOVE the packaging for this collection

And to think I wanted to skip this collection, there's something for everyone!

Just got FMP I love it! Wow such a pretty magenta color with slight purple tones in it.
I really liked Altered Beige, I might pick it up next. Oh and Sheer Seduction too.
