Hey there Richelle83 and MACupGrl! What a bonding experience today! It sounds like a lot of us are kind of unsure as to which MSF will work best for our skin tone. I am feeling the same way. I like the idea of Adored being more subtle. I figure that if it's more along the lines of maybe being more translucent, it will work with whatever you are throwing on your face for that day. Does that make sense? Has anyone seen a picture with anyone wearing Adored? I wish we had more pictures where people had varying skin tones wearing all of these goodies.

Hang on... So MAC put the stuff on their website and made it available to purchase before release time (if you could find it), but then they turned around and cancelled orders, but only for some people? What a mess! I am glad I was not after any of that. I'm sorry to y'all who had to deal with the incompetence. I've seen collectibles be up for purchase before they were supposed to be if you were able to find them, but I've never seen early orders cancelled. It's the company's fault for screwing up and making the stuff available too early, not the consumer's.

On the TT topic... Does anyone think the 187 brush would be good to use with these MSFs? I was debating what to buy at my CCO today, and the salesperson said the 187 would be my best bet for MSFs. Does that sound right?

I am still fairly new to MAC brushes at this point. I've gotten all but one of my little collection (the 239) from the CCO.

I got a 187 and am still getting the hang of it. It's great for a subtle wash of MSF but it's a little too subtle. Maybe I just need more practice.

I was originally going to skip this, but I keep getting drawn back and intrigued by it for some reason.....sigh.

Thanks to both of you!

GlamQueen, if you have a CCO, I got mine for $29.50. Can't beat that! Their makeup selection has been pretty stagnant and meh lately, so I turned my attention to slowly getting brushes from there instead.

matchachoco, if you don't mind me asking, what skin tone are you? I am so super pale that most MSFs show up fairly easily on me. The one I have to use more of is Crystal Pink.

So on the topic of MSF's...

I've never used one up nor am I even close to it..I have By candlelight, superb, and petticoat

I like adored but it's never going to be used up...not for many years...

I feel like its not logical for me to get more msfs lol..but I want

Anyone feel this way, or have a way to justifying buying more?

I'll be getting all the blushes hoping they all work on my nc44 plus rio and lust msfs thanks to Erine's recommendation and finally Gold Deposit...Ive been wanting gold deposit for a while and since I skipped hibiscus kiss this seems like the perfect excuse.

I'm still fairly new to MAC (first purchased from the Venomous Villains collections; didn't use anything until the following May; started buying other stuff the next month), and I had a "buy, buy, buy!" mentality at first. I still do somewhat, because that nagging thought in the back of my mind is "What if I can't find it at the CCO later?"

So I try to look at it as "Can I justify finding space for this ______ (blush, MSF, etc.)?" Space is a major issue for me. I keep most of my makeup in bins with pull out drawers, and I kept having to buy larger bins. I am at the point where I literally have no room to put any more bins, so I need to get more selective. It's hard though.

I have justified buying more MSFs, blushes, and eyeshadows than I could ever use based on the fact that they are powder products and thus have a longer longevity.

I try to be pickier about lipsticks and cream products. I especially have gotten really picky about lipglosses, since I've had several go bad on me in the past year.

I'm somewhere between NW10 and NW15 - usually MSFs show up easily on me, too, but the 187 seems to sheer them out.

Thanks for answering!

Hmm... maybe it is better suited for the brighter shades like Star Wonder and Rose Quartz?

I will have to try it with one of those tomorrow and see how it does, then try it with a paler shade the following day.

Might also try it with Earthshine, since I could never get that to look remotely right on me.

I buy MSFs that I can use as blushes. I don't really like them for highlighting since they tend to be too colorful on my pale skin for a highlight. If I wear a highlighter that's pink tinted, it just makes my skin look red since I have redness issues anyway lol. I need really white/cream highlights. I love to put lighter MSFs like Porcelain Pink (which is too light for a blush on me but too pink for a highlight) over other blushes to add extra glow

Wow I never thought of Madonna...Beyoncé is already affiliated with L'Oreal but Madonna...surprised she didn't do Viva Glam
Actually.. Madonna is a big b****! I hear radio people say how rude and obnoxious she is so I doubt she would ever do a viva glam.. She's too good for that.

How long did it take you to finish by candlelight. That is quite an accomplishment, but so sad. Thanks! but it's definitely bittersweet. I got it in 2010 with In the Groove, so about 3 years. I wore it daily in spurts, but it sat unused for months at a time.
I just got one in the mail, gently used. I haven't worn it yet, just swatched it on my arm, and, O! M! G! such a beauty!

This collection, originally all i wanted was the 159 brush (since i have the other two) and the Tropica - silver blue with purple pearlized pigments - lip liner, which turned out to be eye shadow.

I will be testing tomorrow to make up my mind about the Mineralize stuff.

My must- get list is currently
--- 159 Duo fibre blush Brush

--- Narcissus Cremesheen Glass
--- Tropica Mineralize Eyeshadow

My test list is:
Time to Tango Mineralize Eyeshadow
Caribbean Mineralize Eyeshadow - because i love pink eyeshadow
Dare to Bare Mineralize Eyeshadow - because it sounds like the kind of color i use daily
Cha-Cha-Cha Mineralize Eyeshadow - because it has chartreuse!

Sweet Samba Mineralize Blush
Simmer Mineralize Blush
I was going to skip these completely, but liba's comments have made me change my mind. If i get any, i'll only get one, gotta be sensible (yeah, right)

Lust Mineralize Skinfinish Duo - this or Rio - only going to get one - since liba made them sound so lovely
Rio Mineralize Skinfinish Duo -
Adored Mineralize Skinfinish Duo - i probably won't get this, but liba made it sound so pretty
That's plenty of testing!

Rio and 159 for me. Liba made the brush sound like a magical wand! Plus I have Triple Fusion and Smooth Merge that would probably work better with the brush.

Ya, for me that would make more sense, so maybe Rio would be a better idea, rather than Adored...but I don't have a silvery highlighter (they are all gold based now) so I guess I caaann justify Adored, but Rio would be better because I can use it as a blush too

Hey ladies, I've been so focused on the Ri Ri collection, I haven't been keeping up with this one at all. I'm not so sure I want anything from this collection. I'm thinking I may skip it. My wallet needs a break, hell I need a break! Lol
