I have to try Reflects Transparent Teal on top of Eat, Love as soon as I
receive it! I think that this might be a pretty combo...

I think I'm going to skip out on Eat, Love as well... not as green as I'd like it to be. Looks like Divine Decadence will be the only shadow I buy. But damn, Palace Pedigree is looking good too... what's a girl to do?

What base would you folks suggest to use to emphasize the green versus the black in Eat,Love e/s? I want the green to stand out more
Any high end or, drugstore company makes a variation of emerald green colors. Urban Decay Glide On Shadow Pencil in Clinic is makes a good base. Bobbie Brown Ivy Shimmer Ink Gel liner is nice if you still want to keep it dark. Inglot AMC Gel Liner in #86 is a good one too. If you want to go the drugstore route, Prestige makes an eyeliner called Outrageous Emerald I personally use this one all the time one of my favorites because , it sets and doesn't budge. Wet N Wild has one and it's just called Green. It's .99 cents and it sets nicely. NYX has one called Tropical Green and L'oreal has one called Emerald. Most high end and drugstore companies has a emerald green, or a teal green in there lines. It's just personal preference really. I hope this helps!

Agree, it would be lovely as a paint pot. It's so creamy and lush. Hoping some of the new PLW paint pots coming this fall are this gorgeous.
Me too. I haven't seen MAC put out that many "NEW" paint pot colors in a little while. I hope they bring out some rich jewel tones. I don't have many if those.

When I saw swatches of Eat, Love I immediately thought of Urban Decay's Loaded...only I think Loaded looks better. The green shows a little better than EL. This is yet another one that reenforces my thought that a lot of these colors already exist in my collection in some form. Great choices if you don't have anything like them but not unique. By no means is this a bad collection. I just think the joy disappears some when MAC releases a collection every few weeks (at least that's how it feels lol).

LIPSTICK SWATCHES!

L-R: By Design, Feed the Senses, Just a Bite, Sweet Succulence

Just a Bite - MY FAVE

3 tries and I couldn't get Sweet Succulence to stop being patchy! Would be good with a liner I think.

Shadow swatches coming. I LOVE THEM ALL!
I think Just A Bite looks FABULOUS on you! It's your color girl!

Thank you for sharing, I love ( and need ^^ ) all the lipsticks from Indulge, worth the splurge. The collection will be here around August the 22 nd on the site, but in stores I don't know, I asked the MAC store to give me a call.

Hmmm, I think I'll knock Eat, Love off the list. It's not as green as I wanted it to be.
I loved it even though I do wish it had been closer to the description (when I think deep emerald I think more Wizard of Oz greens, which this isn't). I am hoping that it is like Bird & Berries is for me ... in the pot and in swatches it is nothing special but on my eyes it stands out like mad. Here's hoping ...

Loaded is one of my favorite green shadows ever!

I'm going to head out soon to finally see the whole collection. I have absolutely no idea how much or how little I'll be interested in. Probably Beluga and Smash Hit, but everything else is ranging from possibly to maybe to oh hell no.
so far i'm only intrigued by a couple of the eyeshadows (beluga, eat, love) and possibly one of the sparkly nail polishes, but the eyeshadows are already sold out online...i have an appointment for the event at my store, but it's a week after the launch...so there's a good chance i won't be able to get the 'hits' of the collection...

i haven't really been following the talk in this thread, just did a browse through the swatches. i think i'd be a lot more sad about the sold out items if i read anybody's thoughts on the collection, so i should probably just stay away!!!

prettypackages: i'm not an only child, but i agree about people keeping their paws off my stuff...i don't usually even disclose my makeup collection to all but the trusted few...i think people would just find it crazy!
