MAC Indulge Collection (August 22, 2013)

I keep getting tempted to go back (for a third and final time!) to get By Design lol.
Haven't seen many swatches of it yet I am still curious/tempted, argh!

Liqueur doesn't seem at all rusty to me. It's a warm mauve, with sparkle which is a bit bronzy. In other words, it's the cool side of warm or the warm side of cool, but definitely not rust, which is all warm.

I only had it on my arm, so i'm not as well versed as i would be if i were actually wearing it. I'm looking forward to getting the chance. It has some opacity as well, so i think it'll be good on me, with my neutral coloring.

Got my other goodies today. New UPS guy today. He just kinda threw about 7 packages all over the place in front of the door

Uninterrupted is FABULOUS (thanks Erine

) I used Deep Cravings over my lid & Uninterrupted in the crease - so beautiful.
Utterly Tart is so beautiful sexy on. Love it.
SS - while it is pretty, I'm just not sure that it wowed me.

DA is pretty but JAB definitely has "something" DA doesn't. DA is just straight retro style, I guess, while JAB is more modern/classic. JAB is more of a neutral red than DA too, so maybe it's more flattering for your skin tone too?  Try Smash Hit by itself, paired with simple, matte smokey eyes, good brows and a natural finish on the face. If you wear it on top of other lipsticks, you might want to apply it with a brush, because I could see it reacting with the other lipstick underneath and getting gritty or crumbly. It's got a very emollient base to hold the glitter in place and that can do something weird on top of drier formulas, which will soak up the oils in it. Better off trying it over a lip pencil, which won't try to absorb the Smash Hit base as much. I love hearing all the FTS love! It really is fantastic, especially for all the people who love Restrict but would like something a bit less dramatic. I've decided to back it up. It's easier to wear than even my most favorite lavender/mauve shades, like Nocturnal Instincts. Try Sex & the Oyster with Industrial pearlglide to brighten it up a little. It really reminds me of Industrial, just a little bit smokier!

Oh yeah I thought that about Restrict and FTS as well! Def a tamer nude. I'd love to use Industrial, but unfortunately Pearlglides swell up my eyes something fierce! Which really really sucks cause I LOOOVED them I was in such denial I kept wearing them hoping it was something else... it wasn't. I gave two away, but kept the purple one just for the heck of it. I just couldn't part with it lol

Stopped by the Macy's Mac counter to complete my indulge collection. Today I got By Design lipstick Nd Divine Decadence eye shadow. My nordies order of FTS, SH and LFL have shipped along with the DL polish fake it till u make it. I swatched these nps today and they are really pretty but I gotta go home and compare to the golds I have already.... Can't wait to get my Nordies order I wanna try on all my other lippies!! Singer u need to post in the np thread!

Liba... you ombre lip comment w BD has inspired me! As soon as my Subverted (which you also enabled me to buy from N&M) shows up, I'm going to line my lip w a burgundy/brown lip lip liner, put Subverted around the outside of my lips leaving just the middle exposed and slap that BD right there! Hope it turns out as beautiful as I'm envisioning it!! WoooooHoooo!

My UPS guy does that too. It pisses me off to no end! He also has this nasty habit of only dropping my boxes off at the end of my gate. So, ANYONE can take my stuff! And I don't know how many boxes got ruined over last winter because, of the hard rains we get. And here's the kicker on the other side of my gate is a covered front porch. What a dick!

Rant Over...LOL!!! On that note. Is the Nars Blush Skin Brightening? I'm always on the hunt for blushes that do that!

I'm in love with Feed the Senses! It looks a little pink in all the pics I took but you can see the mauvey side a lot in person.

I looked a hot mess last night so I chopped off my face in the pic.

I had all these on hold except Just a Bite and Fashion Punch. I added Fashion Punch after swatching but threw in Just a Bite at the last minute. I don't know why I'm liking reds now. The SA recommended Feed the Senses to me. It looked nice on her but she is a bit darker than me. I decided to try it. I like it but I am a little bit darker than I usually am so I don't know how this will wear in the dead of winter. Colors like these usually don't look good on me but I kind of like it. Now I included a pic but I don't know. It looks fine in person but when I did a full face pic it looked bad. I think it must be the flash because when I used the camera on my iphone it looked fine. Oh and I just did one swipe on the lips.

Feed the Senses on NC44 (maybe a bit darker now) skin
Flash and no flash/natural light.






I had By Design on hold but skipped it since it looked so much like the old Mac lipsticks I used to buy a long time ago. I will check my stash for dupes but I may still get it. I'm also rethinking skipping Sweet Succulence and Utterly Tart.

Does anyone of a darker skin tone have a picture of themselves wearing FTS?

I havent been here for sooo long.....

i went to the mac store at 4pm and i got all the shadows but Guilty morsel and TRY. which i already have depotted. i have been thinking about guilty morsel and i may go back for it. its a bit powdery but once its all over the lid blended? it looks gorgeous. i like that its very warm.

i didnt touch the lipsticks, or blushes. i have 4 cremeblushes and i barely use them. i do like them but i never use them.
same with the lip glosses, the 2 dark ones are Amazing but i know that i wont wear them.

i really liked this collection, very mac me over to me. i think the shadows are amazing.
