I like pots for balm. I know I shouldn't but I don't share so..?
I'd be fine with pots if I didn't have long ish nails, I just grab a lip brush once I can't reach anymore. Lol at that testing :) Sounds like it is guaranteed to work for you!

I have been going back through the MAC Tumbler and found this from the Autumn/Winter Shows. Obviously any patchiness we are experiencing was meant to be there - tehy sent models down the catwalk with lips like the first time I tried FOD - and all blotchy/ wonky round the lip line where I had overworked it trying to get it right

Moving somewhat away from the mainstream, I also really like the lip balms from Long Winter Farm http://www.longwinterfarm.com/collections/lip-balm - they're petroleum-free and come in some fab (constantly changing) flavours. My favourites so far were Lavender Honey and Orange Honey. Added bonus, the shape of the tube means it can't accidentally roll off my desk lol

Lucky is right! Carmex is cheap and easily accessible. It felt good on my lips upon application but they'd just dry out again. I think the camphor in it acts as a drying, healing agent which is why it's so good for cold sores and such. My daughter fell off a swing once and bust her lip. I thought she would need stitches. My sister put some Carmex on her lip and the next morning there was barely a sign of a bust lip.

Will do ma'am! I'm looking forward to trying it especially with the weather cooling down which is going to make my lips get all crackley pretty soon.
Oh my god, the lip balm talk has exploded! I loooove Fresh Sugar lip balm too. It's my absolute fave although I'm also using my MAC balm with lavender at the moment. I have about 9 balms on the go at once, scattered across various bags and locales around my house... Burt's Bees, Dior Lip Addict Glow, rosebud mocha balm, that blue Babylips from Maybelline (like the smell, but it's a bit thin in application), a Kiehls pot is floating somewhere, etc. NaomiH, Please let us know how the Jack Black vanilla lavender balm is. I cannot resist lavender... and I am tempted by the raves.
