Boldy Bare is my HG i always have a back up it for me i use it with my nudes, to tone down the pigmentation off my lips, for pinks, for my peachy colors i love it, I tried etcetera to dupe it in the PLW formula but i keep going back to my BB haha

Nightmoth is one of the best liners, ever, though! Plus one thing I like about the regular liners: you can sharpen them to a much finer point than the PLWs, which I really prefer, since I usually would rather liner the lips with a very fine line, if I'm only lining, rather than a heavier line I have to blend in.

For the heck of it, my 5 must have liners:

Dervish: this is my perfect lip color match, good under anything because of it - everyone should have a lip pencil that's their exact shade, imo - I also use Absolutely It PLW for the same reason, but that one adds a hint of brown, which is a shame, because I love the formula.)
Hip & Happy: this is the best color for removing excess brown from a lipstick shade. It takes all the hassle out of shades like Hot Chocolate.
Just My Type: Super dark cool brown - I'd rather use this than straight black for black lipsticks, which usually need liner. It's less harsh than black but is so cool toned, it doesn't add any red. I love it with my darkest purples as well, for the same reason.
Nightmoth: A real workhorse - goes with everything red and/or vampy. It does add red to purples and browns, though, so that's where Just My Type comes in.
High Energy PLW: For all my other reds and strong orange corals.

You can see from my list, I'm more inclined to line red, black and vampy colors, but will use a MLBB shade for anything else to add durability, rather than trying to match the lipstick itself. Plus Hip & Happy gets a TON of use, because it takes every brownish plum/mauve/rose lipstick I own out of the too-brown zone - it's the best perfecting color I own.

Thanks for this tip. I bought Just My Type at a CCO just to have it. What purples are you pairing it with? I put it with Smoked Purple once, and it made it look almost black. Have you tried it with any lighter purples?

Broke down and got RR from MAC with their free overnight shipping for today. FOF will be arriving Wednesday. Can't wait to try these. I forgot how good I look with a bold lip. I'll be wearing bright lips during winter but oh well lol. Plus, will bring brightness to a darker season. I do love winter though. Btw, how late can you order overnight through MAC and get it next day?

I do this as well (sometimes) Some outfits need to be brightened up. Today I rocked scarlet Ibis with my black/tan outfit :)

I know it's a johnny-come-lately post but I finally had a chance to compare fixed on drama and diva. I like Diva much much better because of the creamier texture. FOD tugged and pulled like old mattes. Seems like FOD has a plummier base whereas Diva is more berry-based. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference on me really. I'd trade away FOD in a heartbeat if I could still return it, but oh well.

@ PixiDancer -- try some silicone underneath and on top of a usual lip balm -- it softens it up considerably. I wore my Mehr today (Mehr addicted).

I bought all the colours except FOD -- which on me was just a bit too dark. I think wearing FOD during the day depends on where you work -- many conservative companies/firms don't think it's work appropriate. If you live/work in the fashion/beauty world, anything goes. I don't wear it because darker shades can make lips look smaller and and older face sterner looking.. like my aunt Matilda.. lol.

so, that's why I stay away from them unless they are applied like stains or smudged.
