I'm a teacher so I always try to play it safe. I don't want parents thinking I'm a tramp with bright pink lips. Lol jk Although I think I may slowly ease in some of my purple lippies.

Oh i understand. My sister always has professional jobs. And luckily the colors are more main stream now at least thats good for social acceptance

When I was a kid back in the early '70s, my classmates and I were awestruck by a couple of elderly substitute teachers sporting rinses: one blue, one purple. That's pure beauty when you're 7! The more color, the better.I have to say tho if i was a kid and my teacher had on pink or purple lipstick i would have had a cow of awesomeness omg!!!

I agree!! i had seen that when i was a kid on elderly ladies and replicated it in high school with liquid bluing for laundry on my white bleached hair!!! i even did the Kelly Osborne hair a few times, grey purple!! i was always obssesed with the crazy hair that was prolly unintentional! my mother accidently died her hair purple and green streaks when i was 3 and i said it was pretty and when i grew up i would do it. she said oh no u wont u wont like it then. so i always had to tease her after i did do it hahaha

i had a teacher with bleached hair who was a grape for halloween and she used that spray to make her hair purple and it wouldnt rinse out!! i thought it was the coolest shit ever!!! She was a uppity Biznitch tho and she hated it. And i mean by biznitch alot of worse words lol

Yeah, they say that the old ladies lost color perspective due to cataracts and that's why they didn't see a problem with it. They were just trying to get the yellow out of their hair from all the smoking and space heaters (and the cataracts made the hair look extra yellow to them),..so they poured on the drug store rinse.

hahaha my dad has white hair and when he smoked it was soooo yellow omg!! and my grandma has cataracts and cant see so i could see that happening for sure!!!!!

Awe I missed out on all the ordering fun. I'm in Vegas a so I haven't been online. Hope everyone got what they wanted! I just ordered Snapdragon and Heavenly Hybrid. HH wasn't even on my list but something told me to grab it. I'm hoping its what I wanted Private Party to be. Good thing I did since it sold out first. I did have Petal Power in my cart but skipped.

I wish I could see stereo rose on darker skin tones before I splurge on it. I don't want to buy it and it looks similar to something I already have. I'm an NC45 for reference. Does anyone know of any links that could point me in the right direction?
