yeah i hate life all winter im all emo hehe poor me, then in the spring summer i come back to life and am mr hyde i suppose. i have two ppl in me at least. i forget why i want to move?? and its like magical faerie land lalalalala dancing around the beach bon fires and napping in the sun all day then bammmmm sad me has to hibernate and be a antisocial dweeb. if it wasnt for the internet omg
Haha yeah I loved every season when I lived there and loved the rain so I was a weird person that actually enjoyed every minute there. It didn't get way to hot in the summer (though it could) and didn't get to cold in winter. But yeah I knew a lot of people that didn't care for WA in the winter. Just be glad you don't live in Alaska (never lived there) but the whole sun never really going down or up during season wouldny be fun.

Wow. This collection is a total letdown for me now.

Thank you to all for the swatches. Between these and Temptalia's (even though my coloring is very different than hers, I have learned to eyeball her swatches and translate in my mind how the products would look on me; this works about 90% of the time for me), my list is near non-existant now.

I had already marked off Sassy Moss, Rose Lily, and Snapdragon. Now:

Phlox Garden fl (too much like one of the LE Color Tattoos that I can use as a liner, and too warm to boot)
Azalea in the Afternoon MB
Petal Power MB (too warm)
Perfect Topping MSF (too peach/warm)
Playful Petal CSG
Heavenly Hybrid LS (I do not need Dish It Up 2.0; haven't even used that yet, sad to say)

So... I need to hope I don't have an issue with AitA's pink dye, or else it is a CSG pending swatches or bust for me. Good for my wallet and for more than meeting my low buy goal (which was just 3-4 products from mineralized collections!), but a let down as a huge mineralized fan.

I'll swatch PT in person just in case, but I really do not think that is going to work.

Hopefully this link works...Naynadine, I've tried to compare NARS Orgasm to PP...Orgasm seems to have much more of a golden sheen to it when they are compared side by side.

Yeah, i posted that PT was completely new altogether before the collection launched. I was just saying that the cost of the ingredients didn't go up. But yes, different years, batches, techniques, etc will result in variances in colours. But what people need to understand, is that PT is a new new colour (yes, same name, but new colour) this round, which i did mention before the collection launched. And that all MSFs are individually different from each other and throughout itself. So when you're using it this week, it's gonna be different from itself next week. Everyone is comparing their individual Pt to everyone else's. They're not gonna be the same. There might not be pink/purple on the top, but give it a week or two and there will be. The same applies to SR.
Thanks Erine.

The more I look at swatches on Temtalia's site, the more I get irritated. I'm sending PT back as soon as it gets here. I didn't want a peach MSF.

This makes me sad. I wanted a pink MSF. I hope I get one with more purple veining.

I'm going to swatch my Perfect Topping alongside Shell Pearl and see if they are similar enough and if they are I will send PT back. If not, I'll still keep it.

Me too. I know they are all unique and slight variations are going to happen, but these don't look anything alike. I hope I like the one I get when it gets here, but I have no problem returning if I don't. If I have to send it back, I'll be bummed, but I'll get over it. Something new and fabulous will be out before I know it to distract me.

I do like the lippies. I know some don't really like lusters, but I do. I am all about more subtle and sheer lippies for the day time. Especially when I am just filling in my brows and going mostly bare faced. Or in the summer because we don't have A/C here in Europe.

Those PTs make me sad. I was really excited for this but I'm not so sure I will get one. Luckily I can take a look at them at the counter and because of the MAC girls knowing me, I can hopefully choose one with lots of veining. The lipsticks look good, though.

We don't have return policies here so I'll just use mine anyway. :( Oh well, c'est la vie. I'm sure Mac will come up with more pink MSFs in the future.

Here's Stereo Rose, the one from 2012 and this release. This is courtesy Temptalia of course, not mine.

I can't even. I'm sending it back. Even if it *would* look nice on me, it's the principle. They look like two completely different products. This is just wrong.

Every time I purchase something from MAC I feel conflicted because while I know they are good products, I can't stand the way they do business, I can't stand how they treat customers. I make it a point to not patronize any company that doesn't respect me.

This is a prime example of what I mean. I have no doubt this a good product, but these MSFs are not the same as the previous releases. Call them something else, so folks don't expect one thing and get something completely different. Of course they didn't send out press samples! Folks would have figured out these were different. It's shady. It's wrong.

Makes more sense now that they didn't send early samples to bloggers. People would have caught the difference early. I love MAC but this is just a let down.

But eh, I'm over it now. If it sucks I'll return it, and if it works I'll keep it.
There is always something good in the collection I'll just focus on enjoying like Heavenly Hybrid and Snapdragon as well as the awesome fluidlines.

[CONTENTEMBED=/t/185975/mac-a-fantasy-of-flowers-collection-february-2014/3360#post_2560489 layout=inline] Although I do like the PT color on me that I received, it swatches and wears beige. I paid for a product that is described as "pale pearlized pink". It did grow on me but I can understand why others would be mad because I didn't need or want a beige color. If it looked pale pearlized pink in swatch or on my skin I'd totally be happy and keep it even without pretty veining. My question is those who have the original PT does it swatch beige also or does it actually swatch pink? and to those who have Snapdragon, does it lean purple? someone told me it looks a little like pink popcorn so thats why i didnt get it. [/CONTENTEMBED]
Well mine (original) didn't have a lot of pink/purple (and I'm kinda glad because I don't think it would look good on me if if did). After seeing T's swatches I can see that mine swatches pretty similar to this round PT. Didn't expect that. They do look very different (in the pan) though. But I'm content! And I have to say, this round of SR does look great. I actually never use my SR but I think the new one makes a great highlighter. To buy or not to buy.. that is the question.

I ordered PT based on prior swatches, and skipped Stereo Rose because I owned on and it was too dark for me. Had I seen T's swatches before ordering, I would have skipped PT and ordered SR. SMH at MAC. Unlike other lines, if you wait to see it at a counter they can be sold out. So the lack if swatches and name/product mismatch is hurting MAC fans who know their stuff. I don't know how the hard core fans keep at it. I really don't. I'm going to take the money I would have spent on return shipping and/ or adding Stereo Rose ($30) and give it to that nice Armani dude. Belladonna lipstick is calling my name.

Yikes MAC, get it together man! D:

It's so disappointing that the MSFs are very different compared to previous versions, especially Stereo Rose because it was re-released a few times and it wasn't messed up compared to now. This makes me not want Perfect Topping at all. :(
