MAC Playland Collection - April 7, 2014

Do you think I should pick up Something New? I have the opportunity, and since it seems we have similar lipstick taste, I thought I would ask your advice. Worth it?

Howdy, Something New (SN) definitely has a place in my fuschia stash, however Red Balloon looks like it could be really similar...but you never know! Also, SN was manufactured in 2010, so you'd probably need to use it up sooner rather than later...

SN is very vibrant and shiny, it's a great colour which I should have worn more but I will be trying to use it up this year.

Here are some comparison swatches, first 2 pics natural light, 3rd artificial with some natural coming in from the window and 4th natural with More to Love Lipliner (on lip line only).

Toying Around lipstick is my kind of color but I love all the lip glasses! What I don't love is the formula of lip glasses and I'm pretty sure I ​told myself I was done with them. But now...

I will snag it with the next MAC order if it isn't OOS then. I was kind of disappointed it wasn't really like the original Lily White. Also, it is harder for me to love the new pigments b/c the jar is smaller which is silly, because i would never use a whole jar anyway but the principle of the thing is hard to take

I hate the new jars too, but there really isn't that much difference in the quantity of pigment. Same with the glitters.

It isn't so much I am worried about pigment quality, I think the newer ones are mostly better, but I hate the new jars. NOT just less product, I worry I will spill with the new jars and don't like the lid attachment. Also, I I hate having 2 different kinds of jars in the collection, it just jacks with my OCD.

Wow, I am happy we have a few swatches. I think I am going to get all the lippies but skip the lipglass. Except for the Playland one , cuz I don't have a yellow one.

Haha! When I saw this pic, I totally thought you would love Toying Around too! (Given our love of similar shades such as FOL). Just hope that it isn't TOO neon!
