@bluelitzer : so I always had large pores and they seem to attract all the dirt and whatever gross thing is in the environment. A year ago I got the clarisonic and I swear by it, I started with the sensitive brush and moved up to the deep pore brush with the clarisonic brand deep pore cleanser. I don't always need it now since my pores have gotten way better in the course of the year. I don't need it everytday but mostly every other day and sometimes I don't use the deep pore cleanser, I use purity from philosophy. I had a rosacea outbreak a year ago for which my dermatologist prescribed a sulfur face wash and sometimes I mix a bit of that with my purity only cause it does keep acne at bay (I don't suffer from acne but rosacea IS a type of acne, mine was stress related). Weekly or whenever I feel my skin is extra filthy (excess makeup, or I went off-roading in the mud) I get a wash tag, soak it in very warm (not hot!) water and lay it on my face to open my pores, proceed with clarisonic. Sometimes I do use a blackhead extracting tool but I try to do that only every other week to give myself a mini facial and only after properly opening my pores with a hot towel etc... It also helped with my skin exfoliation, I almost never need to fully exfoliate since it polishes and buffs my skin. I Always moisturize! Always ! After wash, before i go to bed, before my makeup... I have dry skin but the whole dirty pore thing had me washing it in excess which produced what Erine said "fake oily skin" so I learned to listen to my skin in terms on how to wash it and when. Use a mosturiZer for ur skin type but always mosturiZe. SPF. Looking tan is cute and all but I rather fake it than get early wrinkles and sun spots. Yes sometimes I'm lazy and just use a wipe, but not a baby wipe (big no no! Dries ur skin) I use the Mac wipes and they leave my skin pretty moisturized...when I'm too lazy for a full on wash. I don't use a tonic. I think they're drying to my skin. I recently started using coconut oil for makeup removal at night and like I said I'm loving it, it's giving my skin a different glow.... Do you have any specific skin problems ??

Thanks for sharing your routine! My main problem right now is clogged pores. It happens when I try a new foundation whether high end or low end. The one that badly clogged me last week was MAC Studio Sculpt foundation (straight back to Nordstrom it went!) and last December it was Estee Lauder Daywear light. They really did a number on my skin and I've had to completely refine my daily cleansing routine and adopt a new pore cleansing routine. I will definitely try your clairsonic one. MWAH! Can't thank you enough :*

I used to get clogged pores after foundation I noticed it was more about the cleansing routine after: think about it if I wasn't cleansing my skin right, I was applying foundation on top of dirty skin ! I also do an at home mask thats pretty easy and helps w the pore situation: get a lemon cut it in half and use the halves as "sponges" and dip them in honey and apply to face. Leave for 20 min. Rinse with the coldest water you can stand. Honey is amazing in the skin!

spending money on clarisonic is the best investment for your skin
Well that... And using it, lol! I say that because I have a brand new one that I bought a few years ago. It was packed away and I recently found it and brought it out for easier access. Still haven't used it yet, but I will soon!
