The sephora "Color IQ service" is completely confused on my face. The first time, i got matched with all sorts of pink stuff, which were way off. So i had it done again a few minutes later, and got matched with all sorts of yellow stuff, including one that was very obviously way way too dark. Plus the girl who helped me was unable to see how wrong all of those colors were. She didn't trust her own eyes.
It had taken me two years of taking dozens of testers home and wearing them to find a foundation that worked. They were almost always either too pink or too yellow, and some companies don't make any colors that are in-between. This was before the machine thingy. I was hoping it would simplify the process now that sephora doesn't carry the foundation i was wearing, but, nope. It's back to samples and wear testing in various kinds of light.

I pre-saled my goodies at Macys today (just can't deal with stalking right now!). Just got Toying Around, Red Balloon and Hi-Jinks. TA is sooo pretty and so is Red B. HitC reminds me so much of Cockney which I already have so I passed. Happy Go Lucky is pretty but I think it might be too similar to Candy Yum Yum (I'd rather get KYY). Sweet Experience was too pale for me and settled into my lip lines too much. Didn't even bother with Playland. Hi-Jinks surprised me. I wasn't planning to buy any CCs but this one caught my eye. It's a pretty corally orange color. I think it might be nice on the lips, not sure about the cheeks.

Hmm, I saw these swatches on instagram, but I still have trouble figuring out wether or not I want Toying around or not. From what you saw, does it look like something that would make your teeth appear yellow? I'd love to get it if it didn't, a couple LE colors I've had in the past did that

my mac counter in dillards said i could not pre sale....does anyone know if that is the new rule...i remember about a year ago at the same store i put something on hold/presale...gave them my credit card and came to pick it up the day it hit the counter. did they change that rule?? thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about that but have you tried a MAC counter at Nordstrom? I was able to pre for Proenza and those LE's becoming permanent.

Okay here are a couple pics! If you're not sure what his tone is, I will force him to go to MAC or Sephora. But hopefully we can do this painlessly. I don't think it's as important how much darker he is, but whether he's warm, cool or neutral. If this doesn't work, I can just swatch a couple well known lippies on both of us and do it that way. But they have to be arm swatches because lipstick never looks right with a beard lol Then when I get all my new lippies I can put them on both of our arms next to each other! And again I am NW13 or so for reference. MUFE HD 110 (pink porcelain) is a perfect match.

Ladies your to funny, but yes D'S and DD bras can be wire free. I get mines at Jcpenney, full figure section (snap fingers) okay!I should've known. I'll put "wireless bras for the top-heavy" on my list of mythical creatures I wish existed.(MAC=Mythical Amazing Creatures)

I learned that my store is releasing playland on the 17th, pink pigeon is being released the same day, it also will be permanent, and that Mac confuses there employees just as much as us because they thought playland had already been released online...also that every time I go into Mac or sephora I'm always always always asked about what's on my lips and its always either some cheap lippie off ebay or something I've mixed myself so I think I actually do better when I don't buy the overpriced same redone colors lippies...NOT THAT IT WILL STOP ME OR ANYTHING..

Tried three of the closest Macy's to me and all said they couldn't. Bummer! Maybe I'll try a Nordstrom tomorrow.
