So anyway, I don't know how in hell she has so much finagling to do with these!... I used my hakuhodo j110 and buffed it for a lil bit and tada. It was done. Sometimes you get a dud. I'm going to write on her page the same thing because honestly I disagree.

Can somebody who purchased Mangrove pleaseee do comparison swatches against other MAC reds/red-oranges? I'm undecided as to whether I should buy it, and the few pics we've seen haven't helped to make my mind up

It seems to me that she rushes to get reviews done, which leaves little time for her to really test products. She really has her likes and dislikes when it comes to MAC, especially mineralize products (she generally dislikes). I've also been noticing that when she lists dupes, they are always products that she has recently reviewed instead of things that I would call a true "dupe." 

Yep, I've noticed that. It like she just looks at the stuff still on her desk and thinks 'yep, close enough!' I generally think that although her reviews are useful, she doesn't have enough time to do some products justice. :2cents:

on nc15 skin. overall thoughts.... Im pretty pissed off because I waited and stalked all night and ordered ocean city before it sold out. They sent sunset beach.... Its beautiful and lovely but its not what I wanted. Honestly ocean city was the first mac product in years thats really excited me. I hope they make this right because Im so disappointed. I had zero pigmentation or patchiness issues so not sure if its a quality control issue. No idea why temp gave it an f. Packaging is nice. Just a little sad right now.

I have to say, I'm glad that I chose to skip this collection after all of the issues I have been reading about. I'm sure some of the products are really nice, but I'm just saving myself the stress and money, especially after all the Playland lippies I bought. Nevertheless, I can't wait to see more pictures of you all in your new goodies! I'm sure you will all be gorgeous!

For WOC wanting to see OC on a darker skin tone (NC50); I'm in a car shop, so the lighting by no means, is good. Also, I'm not a selfie or picture taker AT ALL so excuse my hands being all up in the view, lol.


It looks pretty faded in these pictures, but it's not. Pigmentation is good. I actually overdid it and had to wipe some off, lol. I also really like being able to control the nuance or shade of the blush depending on how I mix the ombre gradient. I'm satisfied.

Thats excatly my thoughts too! The blush is fine and there is no pigmentation or other issues whatsoever. Its just that I wanted OC and thats one product I really wanted to get from MAC in a long long time!
