I think for most bloggers/youtubers it starts out as a genuine interest and love for makeup, but slowly becomes just a way to make money. I have no problem with them getting paid, but I find it ridiculous that some of them will lie and say they love something when they actually hate it. I have seen someone post a product review request from a company and it was insisting that the review be positive if they accepted the product. I would never be able to do that just to get free stuff or money, it just gives people a reason not to trust your opinion.
i agree...
i really like karen from makeup and beauty blog.... i don't always find her swatches helpful (i do like temptalia's swatches and the fact that she covers everything SO thoroughly), but i think she seems like a really fun person, and the way she presents products makes them really interesting to me.
lately i have also really liked gh0stparties too. she posted once on reddit (or someone posted her pic) when i was on there a lot, and i stumbled onto her blog later. she seems pretty nice and honest as well.
i tried to do the affiliates thing in my blog but i feel so mean and deceitful doing it.
also: i feel bad that i brought guru gossip up. i figured everyone knew about it
