Here's a pic of me wearing Shitaki on my lips and Sideshow you blush from the Simpson's collection.
Gorgeous

I have a few, Double shot is a great creamy darker brown, and I love Velvet Teddy for a matte brown. I tend to like frosty brownish colors, too, like Sequin. You could also try a beige-pink , not totally brown. I have a lot of those, they're such nice go-with-everything colors. I love Twig which is a plum brown, at least on me it is. Shitake is really nice, too.
What about Spirit? I'm looking through swatches and Spirit looks like a brown Twig, same tones, same texture, etc., just browner. Have you ever used it? I'm still waiting for Photo to restock... Like I don't have enough pages to eternally refresh while I'm at work...

This collection ended up being my biggest MAC haul of the year. I got Artificial Earth (good cool toned blending shade), Marsh, Stony, Pink Cult and Shitake. Now to depot - and then head BTM yet again.

They fit in the Pro Shadow inserts...the one that only holds 6.
Thanks! I'll have to take a look at the other pro Longwear eyeshadows to figure out if I need the pro palette version with the insets or not. It sucks that it's too larger for my 15x pan insert.
No problem! I'm sure you will love them both! :flower:
Thanks again! I'm excited to check them out in person!
Uninterrupted is amazing. :eyelove:
Looks gorg! It shall be mine!!

Well that certainly makes Estée Lauder happy. :cheer:

Me too. I'm going to have trouble not wearing it every day. I make an effort to rotate through my makeup; I have a spreadsheet where I change the text colour of the item to that month's shade so that I know when I've last used each item. I try to wear every blush, highlighter and a lot of my e/s each and every month. That works really well for me because I figure out whether I still like an item or am just hanging onto it (if I'm not longer feeling it, BTM it goes) and it prevents items from just sitting around expiring.

The downside is that I don't just wear my very favourite items as often as I would if I was being less deliberate.

I got Cheeky Bugger about a week before Pink Cult. I really like Cheeky Bugger, but there's no contest. Pink Cult has quickly become my favourite blush. The only other blush I've finished (apart from the time when I only had 2-3 at any point) is NARS Douceur. I'm pretty sure i'll finish PC as well. I'm tempted to get another but I have a lot of other great pink shades that I enjoy (Launch Away, At Dusk, Pink Tea, Cheeky Bugger) so it doesn't make sense to buy a backup.
Looks like we have very similar taste in blush. I also own Launch Away, At Dusk, and Pink Tea. I've only ever used up one blush and that was Estee Lauder Pink Cloud many years ago. I seem to have a thing for pinks.

I really love natural looking satin finish blush. Pinks are a new discovery for me; my daughter gave me her Dollymix when her skating team changed shades and I was shocked to discover how much I love it and started trying other shades. I've always worn corals and neutrals; coral is the largest chunk of my stash but pink is catching up quickly.

Wow!! Stunning!! You remind me of a classic film noir beauty. Now I want this lipstick
For some reason Double shot is always out of stock online. It is one of my favs such a pretty color and none of the Mac stores near me sell this in stores.  Gorgeous!! I keep contemplating about Shitaki
Oh boy, that looks very good on you! I also love your eyeliner!! :amused:
Stunning!
Thanks everyone :)

I'm surprised you did not mention the traffic in MD/DC/VA. It is the worst in the country aside from Los Angeles.
That is true. I try to forget it. I moved to DC from a small town. It was a terrible shock. Malls everywhere but traffic so bad you just want to stay at home. People in Portland are upset if traffic slows to 35 from 55. Lol.

Went to nordstroms and decided to try De Nude. Amazing! Ended up walking out with De Nude, Au Nature and Pink Cult. Pink Cult is love. I swore I wasn't getting anything from this collection. Going back to b2m Siss.

I got Icon back in the 90s, when i got Cyber, Grid (dark frosted blue violet), and Lust (highly frosted pale blue violet). I replaced it a couple years ago, so i don't need a new one. I did pick up Shitake from this collection, and Obviously Bare gloss (i already have Explicit). Most of the lipsticks in this collection were too orange for me, as was De-Nude, disappointingly.

When i was in jr. high, i started looking for brown lipstick. Back then -- very early 1960s -- anything brownish was also orange-ish, and that didn't work for me. Not until Biba made some true cool browns in the late 1960s or early 70s did i find some browns i could wear.

Biba had such forward colors -- my tube of Metallic Grandma is lurking somewhere -- it isn't wearable anymore, but it was wonderful 40 years ago -- navy blue with silver sparkles. Now blue lipstick seems to be fashionable.

Edit: I had to look it up online. Apparently the summer that I remember, 2006, was unusually humid. It says climate change is changing the oceans which is slightly increasing the humidity there. Probably not this summer, though, with the drought.
No it isn't just your imagination, I have family there and sometimes I visit them during the summer and I HATE it! The mosquitoes that come out around that time are especially disgusting. I haven't been there this yr but my sister tells me its just as bad. Cali its particularly humid this summer though but although our spoiled selves love to complain its nothing remotely close to the East Coast. Winter is when I usually miss the snow for like a week but then I remember having to shovel your car out of the snow and the feeling passes lol.

And if we coastal Californians want to see snow, it's a relatively short drive away in the mountains.

I came back from Bali and Pennsylvania (driving through the dry west and the humid Midwest) to the SF Bay area and people here were complaining about the humidity. Yeah, it was more humid than usual, but, sheesh, it was nothing compared to the Midwest and East (or to Bali )

I'm originally from Chicago and i think we have plenty of seasons out here

OK ladies I need your advice. UPS lost my entire giant order of this collection earlier in the week (when they showed that it was delivered but it clearly was not). I notified MAC and immediately they overnighted me all the replacements! Totally impressive!!!!

The funny thing is that the overnighted box arrived at my doorstep yesterday along with the lost box (thanks a lot UPS). That was after I spent an hour talking to UPS over the phone and getting nowhere and then leaving a GIANT note on my door about the missing box on Thursday. Miraculously, my UPS driver found the box (apparently) and redelivered on Friday.

I want to send back one of the 2 boxes because this is $250 worth of items I have now in duplicate and I feel bad about it. BUT if they are just going to toss it away since they are returns, I would honestly rather donate the makeup to one of my charities that I do free makeup for sometimes.

What should I do? Does MAC automatically toss all returns. Everything in one of the boxes is clearly unopened and untouched although I did open the box to see what was in it since I was not expecting it to be found!

Thanks! Katherine
