I don't have VG1 but Russian Red is just a deep red, no berry at all, while Salon Rouge is berry. The lighting is terrible now but here is a pic:

Thank you. That does look gorgeous, and there's definitely a difference. (But, oh, Sparks of Romance looks pretty too.)

Russian Red was one of my first two MAC lipsticks (the other being Shy Girl), and I still love it.

Does anyone have any thoughts about how Salon Rouge compares to Russian Red and/or Viva Glam I? I can only get one of Salon Rouge and Sparks of Romance and I'm trying to make up my mind.

I have all three and they are all different. Salon Rouge is a darker berry red, Russian Red is a medium - dark blue based red but without any berry tones, and VGI is also a medium - dark red but with some subtle brown tones.

I really, really want Enchantment Mini Pressed Pigment and have tried to hunt it down but it's sold-out at all the counters and mac stores around me. I wish I had the mind to snag it when it was still available on Nordstrom but it's no longer even on there. Hell, it's not even on Macy's and they ALWAYS have stock much later than the other retailers. So bummed out. 

I know I'm bummed i missed out on Enchantment too. I had it in my cart on Nordies but i waited too long and it sold out

I swatched Modern Majesty in-store and was honestly somewhat disappointed. I used my finger to pickup color (since I heard it's the best way to use these pressed pigments) but I couldn't pick up any of the glitter in the pan. Odd. :shrugs:

I think it's because so many people were sticking their fingers in it. Even tho these apply best with your finger, just like regular shadows, these too will develope a film in the top if too many people touch em. So that's probably why you weren't able to get much payoff with a finger swatch. If this happens at home, just use your fingernail or a spatula to scrape a lil chunk off and work with that.

Thanks! Haha, if only the skin on my face was as clear as the skin of my forearm, unfortunately it's been ravaged by acne scars. Thank goodness for makeup!

Guys, I'm really confused now... I really wanna get one of the brush sets, but which one? I wanna get the ed one coz it's never been done before and there will always be mineralize sets in the future, but then again...THAT GRAY SPARKLY BAAAGGG :eyelove:

What's the pigment sets like? I'm debating whether to order the Beige set love the colours and I've never had a pigment before haha!!
