It's so beautiful, smooth and not as drying as the other retro mattes too. MAC really hit it out of the park on that one.

UP is a fantastic lipstick--pricey for Mac, but then the formula is HEAVEN. It is a creamier version of FoF --another one of my favorites. Both UP and Carmine Rouge are absolutely standout lipsticks, the quality in the range of high end brands. If any of your girlfriends has an extra UP and offers it to you, definitely say YES!
I am really stoked for HC since it's in the color family of lippies that I really love. I honestly don't want to spend another sleepless night stalking for it, but it looks like that will be the case---uggg...exhausting!

Thanks for the info about UP - maybe if MAC ever get back to me regarding cancelling my JO order, I will ask them to send my passes to the CCO (last time I checked the public need passes to go) and I can track one down there. I had a friend who worked for Clinique and she used to to take me there as her plus one!

I was just looking at my inventory list and looked at the prices over the past couple years and thought to myself that my personal threshold with how much I will willingly pay for a MAC lipstick is quickly approaching as its prices inch into other (higher end) brand pricing territory.
