MAC X Guo Pei Collection (Sep 24 / October 1, 2015)

I know! And there are barely any pages even here on specktra for this collection. I really think it'll be okay, there'd be at least 150 pages if this collection were going to sell out... I just can't decide whether it's safe!!! I think it's usually sometime between 8 and 11 am, so that's 9 and noon eastern? But I've seen it earlier once or twice. But I think that might have been mac at nordstroms... and I think someone mentioned that... If I happen to get too tired... I will let myself sleep... knock on wood. Yeah I got so excited about the guerlain xmas stuff coming out later next month that I started seeing what sites had "coming soon" stuff and there's a perles blush still up at sephora that looks so pretty in swatches... but it's going to sit in my cart until I get my guo pei stuff so I can see how much I spend. Like I keep ending up with stuff because of these mac collections. example: I was looking at swatches of Devil because of Macnificent Me which led me to temptalia which led me to dupes which led me to NARS Exhibit A which led me to Sephora which led me to Nars Exhibit A being in my purse right now

i can't deal w/temptalia any more, i think she needs a break! if you get guerlain anything get the meteorites, they have falling stars in them this year! they have never made their balllz into starzz, i can barley type! ha!

Oh H*LL yes I'm getting the stars that is absolutely something I'm not going to pass up. I'm going to buy it and use it every day and look like a princess. i'm like jumping up and down with excitement, literally lol

And sometimes T drives me crazy because her skin tone doesn't look THAT different from mine, but nothing on me looks ANYTHING like it does on her. And sometimes she hates things I love (or loves things I hate). I like Karen and even tho she's even further from my skin tone, she's EXACTLY the same as my husband (I brought him to mac and made them determine his skin tone so I could use him as a swatch test subject, he's a keeper) so I can sort of figure out what they would be on me. Using my handsome guinea pig.

Are TF eyeshadows amazing? I only know about the lipsticks. So dangerous for me to ask this, but there it is.

yes! amazing....i have a few and love them all - i am not huge into eyeshadow and stopped buying any other brand for eyes except for wet n wild ones! guess i like the high-low mix! ha! but TF's quads are all perfect! his blush from perm line are my fave too, i've tried to get blush in other brands but besides from a few HG's i use TF's!


btw, i just read the fabric on the compacts is silk....

i would get a TF quad over these MAC one's by a million miles unless you are a huge MAC collector of course! I am just getting a blush, red water lily, as i don't have anything like it and i love the packaging!

Man, now I really want the burnished amber one but it's discontinued I'm thinking of getting Cognac Sable to start. What do you think? SO sad about the amber, swatches are amazing.

i am lucky to have that only b/c my TF addiction has been for years! ha! I have orchid haze, nude dip, golden mink + burnished amber - cognac sable is next on my list and i think that it would be perfect for a first - pop over to TF thread and ask away, the girls that have all the quads may be able to help even more!

k I rewatched Karen's vid (I had watched it before but it was while walking around campus on my phone with CC because it was windy, so this was more productive I've decided definite yes on the eye quads and blushes and probably definite nos on everything else. I just haven't been happy with lustres I've gotten in the past no matter how great the swatches are looking on everyone. And I think I'm gna get some TF lippies instead. And it's now 3 AM and I might be going a little crazy. I've already eaten all the gummy worms and had like four cans of diet coke. Might have to sleep.

I dont think it looks tacky, it's actually quite nice and sturdy. Feels very durable. I assume it's much easier to wipe down aswell if you would get something on it.

That's why I'm passing on this shade. Based on the swatches I've seen, it seems to pull way too orangey to me. I'm definitely getting Zenith though

Yeah I'm trying SO HARD not to get the lipsticks or glosses. but she makes me want the coral gloss, zenith, and ethereal orchid because I think the coral gloss would look good on top of ethereal orchid. But they're lustres!!! I hate those right?!

Lol :lol: Be strong girl and "only" get the quads and blushes. I'm not getting anything from this collection, it's just too expensive. I wish Zenith came in normal packaging. :/
