MAC Enchanted Eve / Magic Of The Night / Irresistibly Charming Holiday Collection (Oct 18, 2015)

I wore my Ascent of Glamour eye shadow (the purple) today. These shadows go on beautifully - smooth, no glitter fall out, but lots of multi-color sparkle and shimmer. This one is a great blue-violet with plenty of pink and turquoise sparkle. I was so glad i got it.

Then a few hours later i looked in a mirror and it had turned fuchsia !

I guess it's related to the Highly Charged Electric Cool eye shadow which turned red on me. But at least i looked like i was wearing fuchsia and didn't look like i'd been crying. I was wearing it with no primer. I guess there's some interaction between the pigment and my body chemistry... I will have to experiment with my primers to see if any of them will keep it purple.

But i know i'm in the minority here, with these blue violets turning fuchsia or red. So for everyone else, i recommend these. Great pigment, gorgeous color, great finish, altho maybe not the longest wearing. When i looked in the mirror about 5 or 6 hours after applying it, it had not only turned fuchsia, it was also a little faded.

I sure hope i can get it to stay violet.

I am sorry to hear about your "fuchsia problem"....have you tried Paints and/or Paint Pots as bases for violets/purples?

I am sorry to hear about your "fuchsia problem"....have you tried Paints and/or Paint Pots as bases for violets/purples?



I don't have any Paints, but i do have a bunch of Paint Pots. I will definitely experiment with them as well as the eye primers. Thanks for the suggestion.

Could also try NYX jumbo pencils, maybe Pacific or Baby Blue would help.

I was thinking about backing it up too....still not sure. I want it but I'm so wishy washy (one month I'm in love with something the next I'm over it and have moved on) One exception Pillowtalk..still loveeee it.

I can't believe I love a cremesheen this much, lol. The only one I had before that was CdN from Wash & Dry. Also nice but PT is truly an everyday no-fail lipstick.

Me too...I didn't have a Cremesheen before but I love the wear and It doesn't slide on me. Haven't had much luck with the two Amplified's I bought; have you had any trouble with that formula? All the different formulas are new to me because I only wore lustres & satins.

Signed up for the Essence one back in August and we got the first one this month. Just got billed for Nov. Some good hair stuff, though the Curls hair lotion I got in the Essence one I got in the last Target one. Haha #firstworldproblems

I was going to ask you did you get the Target box that had the Shea Moisture, Curls hair, Dove etc products? That has been my favorite Target box to date. The only one that every product I can use! Do you think the Essence box is worth it? Or you'll probably see after a few more boxes, huh? Love the #firstworldproblems so true but hey whatcha gonna do?

My personal favorite everyday lipsticks are Modesty and Creme in your Coffee, both perm. I highly recommend those!

Modesty is great! I have been alternating between that and Pillow Talk for a go-to nude depending on what I'm wearing for the day.

You need Brown Script in your life asap. Do you wear eyeshadows on a daily basis?

I'm loving the pics and can't wait to try brown script as a contour. Picked up SOG and ER along with the red bag. I love the mirror colors and the mirror effect on the bag. Surprisingly, I don't have a red like this shade. It's more of a berry red on me and looks rather pretty.

Yea I like it for brows and contouring... Film Noir blush is a good brow shade too that I've been using lately... But yea definitely Embark

I've never used Brown Script for contouring. I must try that. BS is pretty much the only eye shadow that I wear even tho I have dozens.

So Bloomingdale's never helped me with my issue of not receiving the 2 OD's I ordered. I was on the phone on hold with them for too long, so I hung up and emailed them. It's been 2 emails now over the span of 3 days and no one has answered me yet, so I am never doing business with them again. Now I just want my money back!!

I have three ERs. One is going back. It is nice but I do not see myself using two tubes of ER anytime soon. Sometimes BUs are overrated unless it's TTT, Heaux (RiRi) or RiRi Boy.

Ugh, Bloomingdale's cancelled my order of Oh, Darling. Now I'm waiting for the refund. I guess it wasn't meant to be, lol. On the bright side, I got Evening Rendezvous yesterday, but I'm not impressed at all. It looks almost exactly the same as Strong Woman except a teeny bit muted. On my lips the difference is minimum. The purple bullet looks super cool though. I think I should've only bought Please Me and the pink lip bag instead.

They kinda do right! I do love PT, maybe that's why I find TRN so pretty lol. :haha: ETA: I think I'm gonna skip the copper bag though. The bag is €62 + €4 shipping because it's an Bijenkorf exclusive and that department store doesn't offer free shipping (doesn't matter how much you spend ooh, so in dollars it's about $74 and that's just too much for the things I really want from the bag (lipstick and gloss).
