My boyfriend and I met while working in the same department at Macys. We were friends for almost a year before we started dating.

awe I know this thread hasnt been posted on in forever but during my nightshifts I like to read some cute stories and whatnot.
I figured id post my own cause I also do have quite the story,
my bf and I met when I was 3 and he was 6, our moms were friends (we lived in a small town & our moms were both from the same island in the Philippines).
anyways he blew out my candles! I remember it made me cry. I moved out of that small town when I was 10, 6 hours away to a new province. We lost contact. out of the blue may of last year his mom calls up my mom, shes in my city and wants to catch up with her old friend, who she hasnt talked to in over 10 years. She says her son recently moved here and is only 3 hours away.. we still havent talked or seen each other in years. She comes here for a second time around my birthday (october last year), with plans to move here to be closer to her son. A couple months later (Feb) this year, he adds me on facebook. We talk for a bit then stop. In sept. I post a status about going back to my home town for a visit, he comments and says he too is going for the long weekend, I get his number and we meet up for the first time in about 15 years.. it was kinda awk. He didnt really talk much. We started texting a lot. He came to see me for my birthday and some time after that, and asks me out in Nov. He still lives about 2& a half hours away.. but Looking back on how everything happened its Crazy & can only be truly be explained by fate.

I met my husband when i was 16. So even though my older sister at the time knew i wanted to date him, she went behind my back and went out with him. I was devastated and wouldn't speak to her for a long time. I swear she did it just to annoy me, but in the end, we ended up getting married.

Met my husband at 13 in high school! He was a 17 year old junior and I was a freshmen. We didn't date until I was 17 and he had just gotten back from basic training. Split up and got back together when I was 20. Currently married for little over a year now :).

Got hired at a spa and my husband walked in as a client 3 days later! I had been to a movie theater right across the street from the spa MANY times over the years, yet never realized there was a spa there. After graduating Esthetics school, my Mom found the job listing online and made me apply. I didn't think I'd be considered since I was a brand new Esthetician, but I was given a chance. I'll always be thankful since it lead me to my man! He had also never been there before, by the way!

Ohh these are cute!

I met my husband in high school. I went to his school in the middle of the day for an art class mine didn't offer, and we grew up 2 miles apart. We became friends since I was friends with a lot of his in that class already, but he was very shy and nerdy and I was pretty out there and gothy, so he never told me he had a crush on me the whole time (if he did he would've found out I had one on him too ha. He's that ginger, Richie Cunningham/Seth Green type I've always liked so much). We graduated, parted ways, and lost touch aside from a myspace comment here or there until I moved out to Chicago. My best friend was an film editing major, so we would make movies when we were bored in the dorms and he would post them up to Facebook. Well apparently one really caught my husband's eye enough to bring him out of his shell, and his 4 year silence from me, and the dating world (it really was one of the stupidest videos we posted on top of it). He popped up on chat and told me I had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen, and then signed off, immediately! Like how am I supposed to respond to something like that when you're not there anymore. So I messaged him back and it turned into catching up and talking online every night. Eight months later I was going to be in town for a friends wedding and we decided we should catch up in person since it had been so long. He picked me up at my mom's house, and the first time I had heard his voice since high school was when he called to say he was on his way. He took me to a dinner, movie and ice cream, and still to this day argues it wasn't a date, but I'm sorry, you don't take a gal out to all of those things, and then kiss goodnight and not call it a date haha.

But that's all it took. One date. We talked a million times on the phone everyday following it, and two months later he quit his job, packed up his car and came out to Chicago for us to be together. We've been together ever since, and just got married this past July. When it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

He's my first! I was 15, he was 16. We met online via a website similar to myspace and whatnot. My cousins went to his highschool and we just hit it off. Been together ever since. Next month will mark our 11 year anniversary :)
