Has COVID-19 affected you?

The pandemic has made this past year pretty difficult in many aspects. My anxiety has been heightened with the thoughts of virus being contracted not only personally but by family members who are elderly and more susceptible to it, the effects it has on society (for the worse..) and this rapid change in lifestyle that is never ending. Not to mention not being able to see loved ones with the fear of putting them, and myself at risk. My self views have changed... no more access to the gym, no routine, less motivation, a world of online schooling, online communication and the loss of face to face interaction have all contributed to less self-esteem and less appreciation for my body image as I feel I've "let it go". Will this ever end!?

Am I the only one that feels this way? What are some ways you've been coping with this?

I understand this feeling 100% I often feel like perhaps I'm overreacting but then I read stories like yours and I do not feel alone, so thank you for sharing. I've actually taken this time away from work and the outside world to learn better makeup skills, join helpful forums such as this one, move away from social media, and use makeup and beauty products to feel better. In less than a year, I've lost 20 lbs, gained 30 back, and now am on NOOM hoping to lose it all again. Yes I'm going crazy. I also live with my old parents who have underlying medical conditions so even if I wanted to go out more and visit with friends and bar hop once in a while, I cannot because my own exposure would put others I live with in danger. Please know you are not alone <3 I seriously feel your pain. I actually combed a whole mess of knots out of my hair this morning before they got any worse, since I'd been neglecting my hair - a symptom of depression. If you ever want to chat, feel free to send me a message. *hugs.*

Our industry is exempt from lockdowns due to our Covid-19 protocols we have in place. However those protocols we follow on set makes everyone's work a bit more inconvenient as we now have more steps we need to add to our daily work routines. For example on the production I am currently working on, all cast and crew get tested 4 times a week.

During the 1st lockdown of me being sequestered inside for 6 months, I am glad and lucky to be out working again... Albeit it's a whole new make-up application procedure world now.
