Question about MSF in Shimpagne

Hi, I'm brand new to Specktra and this is my first post. =)

I've become crazy about MAC only a few months back, so I missed Shimpagne MSF. I'm wondering if it's similar to the shimmery portion of the New View Collection MSFs. I really like the texture & shimmer level (not glittery but very shimmery) of the New View MSF and am wondering if Shimpagne is the same way. I just got the NewView in Light Medium and love the MSF part! I'd love to have a full size version of it (if Shimpagne is like it).

Thanks for any input!

Personally i feel like Shimpagne is different. I tried the MSF duo's you're talking about and i didn't buy one because i felt like my money could be better spent on a regular MSF. The sparkly part of the duo seems (to me, anyway) just like a TON of sparkles, and not too much color, while Shimpagne has a nice golden payoff UNDER the sparkles. Hopefully that makes sense!

I agree. Soft and Gentle is a great dupe for Shimpagne. I am an NW20-25 (depending on if I use self-tanner). I have always thought of Shimpagne as my great, everyday, go-to for a glow, but Soft and Gentle is even better. It is slightly different that Shimpagne, but in the best ways. It's like Shimpagne version 2.0, new and improved for NW gals.

Shimpagne has a tan undertone that can look unnatural at certain angles/in certain light, whereas the Soft and Gentle has a slight peach undertone that looks much better. Give it a shot.

Shimpagne was my first MSF and after bout 6months I broke it accidentally well ended up crumbling it up and using it as a loose powder but to be nothing can compare to its awesomeness

I was talking about this color the other day with a friend-I've never used it-and I was told it was really similar to soft and gentle, just finer. Is that right?

They're similar in colour, but I don't know about finer. http://karlasugar.net/2008/11/mac-mineralized-skinfinish-msfs/

I don't think soft and gently is nearly as beautiful and shimpagne I recently finished my shimpagne because I couldn't put it down! I thought I would be able to find another one on eBay but I've had no luck finding one at any price. Personally I think two msf's that come close to the effect are semi precious pearl and by candlelight, but those will cost you a pretty penny. What about dior Amber diamond?
