So I went to MAC today.... spent a LOT. Why is it that after a huge argument with your "boyfriend/hubby" you just feel great after spending 200 bucks on MAC!?

lol

Well I went and I had in mind the whole time I was going to get foundation, concealer, powder, and some moisturizer and bronzer... well I got all of the above minus the bronzer, but I got the #188 brush, now the whole time I've known about the 187 I've been wanting to get it, not the 188

the girl at MAC kept insisting the 188 will be fine....... but I really want the 187!!! Should I just exchange it?? I'm trying to convince myself that the 188 would work just fine, but when you have something in mind I'm sure you'd really like to get that... any help?? should I exchange? Keep it and get the 187 too? I'm confused

Also do you think she gave me the 188 just because I got the studio tech foundation and maybe the 187 was too big for it??

I only use the 188 for very small areas like around my eyes or nose, or even use it for putting blush on. It takes a lot longer to apply foundation with it and doesn't buffer as well since you have ver little brush space available.

I got the 187 and its great for liquid foundation....but in small areas I wish I got the 188 sometimes....I think you should keep it and get the 187...you can always use your little 188 to apply your highlighter or buff counturing powder..etc...

I love the 187 for foundation, it's applies flawlessly for an airbrush finish, as long as you use a stippling motion. I wouldn't mind getting the 188 for blush application.

I'm gonna be getting the same things (and a few brushes) in a few weeks...it totaled about $200?

I wonder why she insisted on the 188.

I use the 187 to buff my Studio Tech. Love it. The 188 is great too so if you have the extra cash to fork out, I say you keep the 188 and use it for other purposes and buy a 187.

I actually use my #187 for my liquid foundation like Mineralize Satinfinish. I use to use my #188 but I prefer using my my #187 because it is easier to control and it gets the smaller areas good too.

if you're able to afford both, for sure keep it and get the 187. I have both, and they are both great, but if your looking to use it to apply foundation, the 188 is almost useless, sense it is so small. the 187 is definately better for foundation. the 188 is good for MSF, highlight , blush, undereye area etc.

Thanks girls, you have been a great help. I've decided to keep the 188 and get the 187 as well, I'm not too big on bronzer just yet, I just apply it however I feel like it lol, I have the feeling I'll be getting a nice one along with a great brush as well, gosh is this an addiction or what?!

Thanks! it seems that almost everyone uses it with a liquid foundation, but I think it works very well with studio tech! I'll keep the 188 and get the 187 next week

I was thinking the same thing. I also wanted the loose translucent powder and she ended up giving me the pressed one, she said it was better, I don't even remember when was the last time I used pressed powder, I'm a little skeptical about it to be honest

It's always a matter of personal taste. Maybe she (the MA) finds it more precise, I guess.

That happened to me too! i was buying the msf natural, some other stuff and, i said, the 187 brush, the ma told me that, she thought, the 188 worked better, i don't remember exactly what she said, so i bought it. But i think is just too small to apply foundation. I kept it, but i got me a 187.
