The 275 looks off to me, though the 168 looks OK, the crimping on the bottom brush doesnt look good and the print doesnt look like any MAC brush I own.

I am quite sure now that there fakes, both of them...

They have small silver speckles all over the handles and there very light (#275 is just 4 grams, #168 is 14 grams ) . I will contact the seller; BTW ladies these are purchased from one of the “safe”

sellers from ebay ....

I am sorry to hear that

I NEVER buy brushes off ebay, I always get a CP if I cant get into a store myself - I live almost 3 hours away from ANY mac store/counter.

The 168 I wasnt sure about, I dont own this brush but the crimping looks ok and some of them are made in Japan, the 275 though definitely looks like something I would not have bought. Just contact the seller and if you get no luck in a refund you can always raise a dispute. Good luck!!

i don't think they're necessarily fake... some of my brushes have silver sparkles on them and i purchased them from the MAC counter at Macy's. Some old Mac brushes do look a little different i think..? the 275 looks kind of weird, the lettering part..(maybe because it's old.?) but the 168 looks fine to me :]
