I'm still so completely smitten with pearlescent lilacs and frosty lavenders, so, yar... continuing the experimentations.

Have felt really inspired by the Spring '07 collection from Alexander McQueen ~ really preciously floral stuff.. I'm irked by how it could all easily be seen as overly 'chalky', but the soft ethereal powderyness completely does it for me - reminds me of Miss Havisham with that really decadent, decayed romantic feel. I tried to incorporate some Louis Vuitton Spring '07 with some subtle glitter underneath the eyes, because I still love that collection too.

I used: ~

L'Oreal Infallible foundation in porcelain;
Vaseline lip therapy on lips & lashes;
White eyeliner on waterline with a little emphasis on the outer corners;
Barry M dazzle dust in pale purple mixed with white shimmer powder (I use unbranded stuff);
White shimmer powder on inner corner of eyes & cupid bow;
MAC violet pigment applied wet and very lightly inner corners of top & bottom lids;
Barry M limited edition dazzle dust in silver platinum on outer eyelids and winged out;
Barry M silver glitter stick;
Clear mascara on top lashes;
Bourjois Effet 3D Cosmic lipgloss in 20 Rose Symphonic.

I really like this! I like the clear-looking gloss at the top of your cupid's bow and that purple looks so floral and feminine on you. those colours reallllly suit you!

I love the dazzle dusts because they're so cheap and so easily obtainable, especially compared to the MAC piggies which I either have to shop online, or go to London for. I really like that the dusts are often quite glittery, but I really cannot use them wet - their texture is such that they gloop up when I add some water, and they just want to stay powdery, which can make applications messy as sin being as the dusts are obviously loose like the pigments.

The MAC pigments feel a lot more versatile being as they can be applied dry or wet, and they're about triple the size of one Barry M dazzle dust pot - so although they're expensive, they last a lot, lot longer (though having said that, I haven't yet completely used up an entire pot of dazzle dust).
I buy lots of dusts when I'm in the mood to experiement; and I ocassionally treat myself to a MAC piggie when I'm infatuated with a specific colour (like the violet), and want to be guarunteed top-knotch results.
