Availability of "Well Defined" help...

Hey guys! Long time no post. I was at my local counter on Monday and wanted to purchase Studio Sculpt foundation. Well, even though the collection was out Feb 5, they still don't have it. I went back again today to check and the counter manager said she wasn't sure when she was even going to get it. Are counters receiving the products later than freestanding stores and maccosmetics.com? She seemed as if she hadn't heard of the collection and suggested that I go ahead and make an online purchase. I don't want to do that simply because I want to have the opportunity to return it if it doesn't work out. My closest freestanding store is in Atlanta 150 miles away. Thanks!

I actually bought the studio finish foundation today at my local counter. I went to a counter in macys if that helps.

Yeah... it's a Dillard's. The Macy's here doesn't have a MAC counter. So far I'm not terribly impressed with the one here. A couple of months ago I asked the salesgirl to see the brush roll. "Ummm... what's that?" Yeah... it holds brushes and rolls up... thus is a brush roll. "I didn't know we even sold those!" I'll give them a couple more tries. I hate venting about my experiences there because I love MAC and have had many great experiences at other counters and stores.

Thats horrible. I would recommend just ordering it online then. One of the girls at the mac counter gave me a sample of the foundation because i wasnt to sure if i should get it since she told me its good for ppl with oily skin. I have combination so I just gave it a try and fell in love and went and bought it today. Its honestly nothing like any other mac foundation. Its def worth getting.

Wow, I can't believe how uneducated they sound regarding MAC products when they are MA's there! Now I understand that they aren't super MAC geniuses but that sounds like really basic stuff they should know about.

Sometimes counters receive products later than other places for many reasons-bad weather, shipment problems, etc. I don't see any reason why a counter WON'T be receiving the foundations and concealers. They are perm items as far as I know at this point and aren't special packaged LE items that sometimes only are sold at stores or online only. I'd give it a few more days, up to a week to see if they've received it or not yet.

If not, then I'd suggest buying it online since it sounds like you don't have many places to go to for MAC where you live at. I haven't tried the products yet but the MA I spoke to, did mention that the shades did run a little bit darker. I'd do a live chat first online before ordering. Hope this helps!

I actuall went to the Dillards in my area yesterday for a Make over so I could test out some of the new Hello Kitty things and to try out the new foundation. The MA told me that they had not received the new foundation or the creamsheen collection yet and did not know when they would.

Yeah, I went back again yesterday and they still didn't have it. The counter manager did happen to mention that they only received Creamsheen on Thursday. I know it's not their fault but it is frustrating. Ha.. if the shades run dark then I may just be SOL then... If MAC actually made a foundation in my color it'd probably be NW-37. NW15 in Select SPF was just a tad too dark.

It's probably a long shot but maybe you could call the MAC 1-800 # up and ask if they may have any info on when your counter will or IF they'll be getting the collection in.

I hope you get it soon. Just keep on calling MAC instead of wasting your time going. Based on experience and reading forums, the colours can run either light or dark. So your best bet is to have a MA swatch you when your local MAC does get in the shipment. Best of luck.
