Big Hair...?

So I've always been a bit scared of layered hair cuts but since I've been taking a cosmetology coarse I've gotten a bit bolder with my cut(i've always been for crazy colors though)here it is

so anyways...I love the choppy layers but I'm trying to get it a bit fuller without looking too "scene"...I have fairly thick hair so it's not flat but does anyone know of a good mouse that I can pair with upside down blow drying and my favorite pomade to get it to look fuller up top

I really like Matrix's Vavoom Mousse! I pair it with the Vavoom Hairspray, and it still leaves the hair feeling soft, with movement.

Maybe you could also try just teasing the roots lightly with a special teasing comb, and using a good hairspray, nothing too crazy though. Also, try blowdrying upside down, that should give you good volume at the roots.
