Buffing..what is it?

On the gen make up board a lot of ladies talk about buffing foundation..what is that? how do you do it? what are the desired results? Thanks!

I take it too mean really blending your fondation/powder in, either with sponges or brushes.Circular motions with a big brush especially. But that's just how i take it to mean.

Sometimes when I use pigments as a blush I have to really buff it ito cheeks or else it ends up as a streak of shimmer.

I agree with the other ladies, but I think usually you use a slightly denser, stiffer brush to brush off excess and blend.

Generally speaking, it's using a large semi-dense brush to work powder products into the skin in a method similar as one would use to buff an item.
